“Good morning.” Lennart gave her a small smile and stopped beside the bed.
“Good morning. Why get up so early?”
“I couldn’t lie down anymore. It’s not my thing once I’m awake.”
“Oh, come on. Do you have some important work to do?” Leticia teased.
Lennart started laughing and scratched the back of his head. “Actually yes. I have a lot of work to do.”
“Hmm. And what’s that, if I may ask?” She stretched on the bed like a cat, and the sheet covering her upper body fell and revealed her breasts.
Lennart opened and closed his mouth. He wondered if he should tell her that he is the real owner of the place and that he needed to take care of a few details. Seeing her like this made him rethink his priorities.
He continued to stand there, realizing he began overthinking. “I’m also part of… the security team,” Lennart finally said, looking at her bare skin.
“Oh, really? Then why weren’t you at the meeting and properly introduced to everyone?”
“While you were in the canteen, I was keeping an eye on the place from the monitoring room.”
“Hmm. Makes sense,” Leticia said and leaned forward. “But you’re not the only one on duty, no?”
“True.” Lennart added awkwardly, his eyes flicking between her face and her chest.
“Then you can stay here with me for a bit longer.” Leticia patted the empty space on the bed beside her.
“I wasn’t planning on going anywhere while you’re still here.”
“Do you want me to go?” she asked, surprised.
“No–no, I didn’t, I…”
“Then come here.” Her lips stretched into a playful smile. Lennart hesitated but took his clothes off and joined her on the bed.

Confusion swirled in his mind as Ryosuke tried to piece together fragments of the previous day. Another restless night in the bunker. His heart sank with familiar dread before his eyes were even open.
Ryosuke turned to the side and looked at the digital clock. The numbers shone: 8:49.
He sat up groggily and rubbed his eyes. His head throbbed; he wasn’t used to sleeping this long, and with different time zones he got all mixed up.
“Good morning, my love.” He heard Ayame’s voice beside him and stiffened. He turned and saw her already sitting in bed and yawning.
“Good morning,” he greeted her as well.
“How did you sleep?”
Like shit, was Ryosuke’s first thought, but he said, “not very well.”
“Why so?”
“Probably from the time change and a change of location. I miss the fresh air through an open window. I was waking up a lot,” Ryosuke said, feeling his headache intensify a bit.
“Yeah, that may be the reason. Did you drink enough water?” Ayame asked and yawned once more.
“Not that I remember,” Ryosuke said, trying to recall when was the last time he drank something.
“That might be another reason.” Ayame stretched. “I don’t feel fully rested as well, but it’s not that terrible.”
