“If you say so,” Bash told her. “Delusional cunts never think they’re anything but perfect.”
“I am,” Charlotte announced, getting to her feet, and proving Bash’s point about delusional cunts. “Bye, now.” Like the queen she thought she was, she swept away.
“Bash—”
“I want some of Meggie’s cunt, too,” Cleaner announced, interrupting Easton.
Randolph steepled his hands in front of his mouth, turning a wide-eyed gaze to Cleaner.
“What do you have to say, Easton?” Bash asked.
“A fucking lot. Mainly, don’t do this. That woman’s a fucking liar. Meggie and Kendall are best friends.”
“Don’t listen to this motherfucker, Bash!” Cleaner snarled. “My cock’s already dripping thinking about fucking all three of Meggie’s holes.”
“Your cock’s always dripping something, motherfucker,” Bash said with a snort.
“Yours isn’t much better,” Cleaner replied.
“Would it really hurt Kendall if Meggie’s hurt, Easton?”
“Yes. It would, Bash.”
Whether his fixation with Kendall was healthy or would lead to anywhere, Easton couldn’t care less. It solved the problem in the here and now. If, in fact, they were heading to Hortensia, then perhaps he’d let Molly go as promised, then Easton would disappear, but not before alerting Outlaw to what Charlotte was trying to do. Fuck. No. As soon as he got to his room, he’d call Meggie and ask to talk to Outlaw. This was an urgent matter.
“Call Celia, boy,” Bash instructed. “Tell her to invite Meggie over to her house.”
“Bash, listen to me—”
“I fucking hear you! I’m not going to ambush that little cunt, but I want Celia to record the meeting. I want to see her for myself. Besides, my sister’s a good judge of character. She’ll let me know if Meggie deserves to breathe the same air as Kendall.”
It was better than nothing. Easton stood.
“Do it here, then leave your phone with me.”
Fuck. “Why?”
“Don’t think I’m not aware that you have a soft spot for Meggie. I don’t want you calling and telling on Charlotte.”
“What if Aunt Celia does like Meggie, Bash?” Easton demanded. “What then?”
“I do want to fuck her, but I want Kendall more. If that’ll upset her, then I have to keep my cock in my pants. But I don’t like backstabbing cunts and that old bitch is a fucking traitor. I don’t want Outlaw scooping her up because Charlotte Redding is mine. Before she dies, I’m going to fuck her raw and make her wish she’d never walked into my fucking clubhouse.”
March 21st
Nuzzling awakened Meggie. A big, warm body enveloped her. Christopher. Surrounded by his scent, his heat, she pushed against him, her back to his hard, honed front. He nosed her hair, slid his long fingers down her arm, at once calming her and setting her body on fire.
“I love you, Megan,” he whispered against her ear. “So fuckin’ much.”
Without looking at the clock, she knew it was early in the morning. The house was silent and still, the time before everyone’s alarms went off and their day started in earnest.
Shaking the last of her grogginess away, she turned. There was nothing better than being in the crook of his arm, early in the morning, before their day started. Usually, his lovemaking awakened her. Yet, he was hesitant, uncertain. Meggie understood. They’d gone through a lot.
She thumbed his lips. They were inches from hers. The starkness on his face touched her and reminded her why she loved him so much.
“I love you, Christopher. More than life. More than almost anyone.”
“Except the kids, huh, baby?”
