I smirk. "Can't tell you until I kill him. If you're not helping me then I'm not telling you."

Andrew chuckles and shakes his head at me. "Does anyone else know?

"No. You are the only person who knows I am killing him, and I hope you don't tell anyone, Andrew. I'm trusting you."

"I won't. I would never do that to you."

"I know but I still can't tell you," I say before standing up and walking towards the kitchen. "Just taking precautions, Andrew. Nothing personal."

"So, you haven't told your girlfriend?"

I turn around and look at Andrew who is raising an eyebrow at me. "Girlfriend?"

"Don't lie to me, Rowan." Andrew stands up from the couch and walks towards me. "I know you. You're different."

"That should be a good thing, right?"

Andrew shrugs. "Sometimes. Other times it could bite you in the ass."

"I wouldn't call her my girlfriend. We are just us right now."

"Why no title?"

"Because her father is a second in command and I work for him."

Andrew starts laughing and my jaw clenches. "Holy shit! Rowan Valentino doing messy? Shit." Andrew shakes his head. "You're in deep shit, brother."

Rowan

Andrewand I walk through the front door of the Reyes mansion.

I've only been here a few times because of the meetings I had with Cole or when I came here one time with Ace to discuss what happened with the Russians when I was a mole.

"Whoa," Andrew says as he looks around the foyer. "This place is huge," Andrew comments as he walks further into the house.

I hear the sound of talking and laughter in the kitchen as I walk closer to where it is.

Before I enter the kitchen, I turn around and look at Andrew. "Now, please don't say anything stupid or mention dad or my girl."

Hearing myself say ‘my girl’ sounds foreign and weird, but it also sounds perfect and just right.

Jane's my girl.

"Got it. Won't say a thing. I'll be your gentleman-like brother." Andrew smiles and I just turn around and walk inside the kitchen.

When I walk inside, my eyes go straight to Jane who is looking at her mom and smiling. I see Thalia, who is standing next to Jane, nudging her which makes Jane look at Thalia. Thalia looks at me and then back at Jane which makes Jane look at me.

I wink at her which makes Jane's cheeks turn red and she smiles at me.

"Rowan!" I turn my head to look at Cole who called my name. "Nice to see you." Cole walks towards me, and he takes my hand in his and shakes it before putting a hand on my shoulder.

"Nice to see you too, sir." I nod my head at him.

Cole's eyes move to Andrew who is standing behind me. "And who is this?" Cole walks around me and stands in front of Andrew.
