"I know but I don't want her in Italy. I’m sure her work can find a sub to replace her."
"Okay. I'll let her know today and we will be on a plane by tomorrow morning."
"Good," Cole says. "How is she doing though?"
My eyes trail all over Jane's body and I swear I feel my cock growing harder.
"She is good. She is doing really good with work, and she is smiling more."
I'm not going to tell him that she is talking to me. Reason being I don't think she will be happy if I told him, and I like the idea of her only talking to me.
I like us together, alone, in our own secluded world away from everyone else.
"That’s good to hear. I miss her and can't wait to see her. Will you tell her that for me? I'll text her but I want you to tell her."
"I will."
"Good. Thank you, Rowan," Cole says before hanging up.
I put my phone down on the counter and then turn around so that I am facing the mirror again.
I just need to think.
How am I going to tell Cole Reyes that I fucked his daughter and made her moan my name?
He is going to fucking kill me.
I put my hands on the counter, still looking at myself in the mirror.
I can just not tell him.
Hell no, he is going to find out some way.
And I want to be with Jane.
I want to be able to hold her and tell her that she is mine and I don't want to hide it from the world.
I want to be able to l-
The sound of screaming makes me rush out of the bathroom and go to the bed where Jane is pressing her back against the headboard, her breathing is fast and rushed as she looks around the room with tears falling from her face.
I get on the bed so that I am in front of her. I grab her face in my hands to make her stop looking around the room and have her only look at me.
Despite the pain in my chest, I only can focus on her.
"Shhh. It's okay. Listen to me. I'm right here," I say softly, trying to calm her down.
"He-He-"
"It's okay. You're in my room. I'm right here next to you. Listen to me." I grab her hand and place it on my heart. "Feel the way my heart is beating, okay? And just relax."
She nods her head, but tears are still rolling down her face. "He almost-He almost got-"
"You don't have to tell me." I bring her into my chest as she cries. I stroke her hair and kiss the top of her head. "Shhhh. You don't have to tell me. You're okay," I assure her. "You're okay."
After she cries for another minute, she starts to calm down but she still stays wrapped in my arms.
"It was the same night. The same vision I see every time I think about it. But I couldn't remember anything about him. I don't remember his face, it's always a dark face that looks like a shadow, but I can feel and see the rest of his body," she explains.
