I yelled at Rowan.

Rowan's lips lift in a smirk after a minute of silence and then he says, "And the fawn finally gets her fucking claws back."

"And the fawnfinally gets her fucking claws back," I say while maintaining eye contact with Jane.

"Open the door, Rowan. I did what you wanted," Jane demands.

The small smirk on my lips grows a little and I shake my head lightly. I press the button to unlock all the doors in the car and once it unlocks, Jane gets out of the car and slams the passenger door shut so hard I thought that the window was going to shatter.

Oh, it's so fucking on.

I'm getting her voice back.

I do feel bad about saying those things to her.

I just needed to hear her say something. I needed some type of reaction to show me that the old Jane is still there.

I am about to put the car into drive but then I get a call which makes me look at my phone. I see my brother's name pop up on the screen.

I pick up the phone and answer. "Yea?"

"Now that my favorite brother is off of vacation, I can finally talk to him on an everyday basis."

"I'm your only brother, dumbass."

"Yea but who knows, maybe I can have more."

He really knows how to change the mood of a conversation. Our father is known for fucking everything with two legs, doesn't matter if you have a dick or a pussy. He has no shame.

Sometimes when Andrew and I were little we would catch him fucking some of his whores of the week on the couch or grabbing some guy’s dick in the hallway which was near our rooms.

I hate our dad, Andrew knows it. Andrew is grateful for our dad because he saved Andrew from his mom. Andrew's mom was a complete cunt. She would use Andrew for her drug selling business and a way to get money which was using him for prostitution.

"Why did you call?" I ask.

"Because I want to know where you are right now?"

"Working on a job."

"Where though?"

"Italy right now and then in a few weeks I am going back to the US. Why are you asking?"

"’Cause I might be going to California soon and wanted to see if you will be there at the same time I will and I wanted to see if I could room with you while I am in California."

"Do you have a job out there?"

"Yea. I'm going to have to watch this mayor’s daughter. Usually, I go for bigger jobs but he is paying a lot so I took it. But it's not for sure yet."

"Okay well let me know."
