Page 61 of Incubus (The Incubus Saga #1)
Again Sasha managed something like a laugh, his head pressing back into the carpet, and the heels of his feet digging even more into Nathan’s lower back to pull him in deeper.
“I’m not. It’s just… you ,” Sasha said, and his mouth fell open, revealing fangs on his eyeteeth that glistened in the light.
Nathan knew he had lost all control of his body, his mind, everything, because with Sasha’s eyes like that and the fangs, Nathan just came undone.
He couldn't explain why the incubus attributes turned him on so much, but they did, and his pace picked up.
He and Sasha had come so far in so short a time, had cheated death and managed to find something like a relationship.
Deep down, Nathan felt like they had earned this.
He sensed it coming, saw the signs in Sasha’s face when the incubus’ eyes clenched and his features twisted.
To help things along, Nathan took Sasha in his hand again, and it was only a few good pulls later before he felt heat pour over his fingers.
There was just something so satisfying about getting the incubus to come first.
Nathan must have smirked or done something to look particularly pleased, because Sasha redoubled his efforts to pull them tight together, shifting his hips up into every thrust. His hands held onto Nathan's biceps, squeezing too tightly, and soon after, Nathan was done, pulling out just before the same heat left him, leaving a little pool on Sasha's stomach.
For a moment there was only the sound of their breathing, harsh, almost deafening.
Then reality started to catch up to Nathan, slow and creeping, making his arms shake from having held him up whenever he wasn’t touching Sasha.
His thighs quivered, though not nearly as much as Sasha’s were as the incubus uncoiled his legs from around Nathan’s back and placed his feet on the floor.
Nathan wanted to collapse forward, just fall on top of Sasha in a contented heap, but he was too hot, and falling off to the side sounded better.
He did so, landing next to Sasha as they tried to still their breathing.
He saw Sasha grope for the sleep pants to wipe himself clean, and soon after, Nathan began to feel Sasha’s eyes on him, blue again and smiling.
“So…is this where you freak out on me again?” Sasha asked calmly.
Nathan turned his head to look at Sasha. It was nice being eye to eye, which Nathan realized had to mean that Sasha’s legs were sticking out a little further than his along the carpet. “I’m not…freaking out.”
The only response was a single raised red eyebrow.
“Okay,” Nathan admitted. “Maybe just a little.” He broke into a grin and laughed lightly, bringing a hand up to rub over his face and scrub back into his damp hair. “Shit,” he said, peeking at Sasha between his fingers. “Did we really just do that?”
“Yeah. We did,” Sasha said, softly and still smiling. He reached across to grab Nathan’s face and pulled him in for a slow kiss.
Nathan’s heart was beating hard, wildly, but he wasn’t freaking out, not really, not the way he might have once before. He drank in Sasha’s kiss eagerly.
Teasing lightly with a swipe of his tongue at Nathan’s lips, Sasha’s voice took on a purposeful whine. “ Now can we go up on the bed?”
“Wuss,” Nathan said, but he obliged, getting achingly to his feet. He was pretty sure he would feel okay just lying on the bed.
Then, in the next moment, he found himself suddenly tackled down on top of the covers by a near giggling and deliriously happy incubus.
“Freak!” Nathan laughed back, though he tried to keep his voice quiet. “What is wrong with you?”
Sasha stopped his attack sprawled halfway over Nathan and grinned.
Shaking his head, Nathan managed to turn over and sit up a little, even with Sasha’s body covering most of him. That vantage point awarded him the full sight of Sasha’s backside and the discovery of something Nathan hadn’t noticed before.
“Do you have a tattoo?”
Sasha blinked at Nathan like he had lost his mind. “Uh…duh?”
“No,” Nathan said, trying to lean over Sasha’s back to better see, “an actual, you weren’t just born with it tattoo. Is that a…four leaf clover?”
Recognition must have dawned on Sasha, because he suddenly really wanted to turn over.
“Oh no you don’t,” Nathan said, holding Sasha down.
He knew any amount of success was only because Sasha allowed it, but that didn’t deter Nathan so long as he got what he wanted.
“Are you a girl ?” he teased, since there was indeed a small clover tattoo on Sasha’s right cheek where Nathan wouldn’t have been able to see it until now.
“I was eighteen,” Sasha said, with an actual blush filling his face. “In Canada. And drunk!”
Nathan barked a laugh.
“I am Irish. Kind of. On the human part of my dad’s side anyway. Shut up ,” Sasha said more forcefully, even though he was still grinning like mad. “You weren’t supposed to ever notice. Jerk.”
“If you expected sex at any point, how did you think you were going to hide it?”
“Dumb luck?”
Nathan laughed again. He allowed Sasha to move off of him so that eventually they situated themselves lying side by side on the bed.
Nathan generally liked being naked, and considering they had just had sex on Schuester's guest room floor, he was pretty sure he was no longer embarrassed being naked in front of Sasha. Next to Sasha. With Sasha naked too.
Starting with the incubus’ toes, Nathan cast a long slow look up his friend’s body. There was nothing he didn’t like. That was amazing within itself.
“So…what does this make us exactly?” Nathan asked, smiling crookedly. “Because if you think I’m introducing you as my boyfriend to anyone …"
Another chuckle escaped Sasha, his fangs gone, blue eyes sparkling, but still absolutely beautiful in whatever form. Nathan might even be willing to say that Sasha was even more radiant than normal with his hair tousled and a little sweat on his skin.
“We don’t have to call ourselves anything,” Sasha said, and leaned over to steal another kiss. Then he was leaping off the bed with a sudden surge of energy that left Nathan staring in awe. “I feel so much better! You have no idea. I have to work some of this off.”
Nathan had almost forgotten that what they had just done was how Sasha fed . It amazed him that he hadn’t felt anything strange or amiss during a single part of it.
“Where are you going?” Nathan asked once he realized Sasha was haphazardly grabbing up clothing. “I’m exhausted. And it’s the middle of the night.”
“I know,” Sasha said, pulling Nathan’s own discarded T-shirt over his head, “but I’m so wired now.
I just need to walk around the block or something.
Maybe even a good fly if there aren’t many people around.
You don’t have to come with if you’re…too worn out.
” He was already dressed in a mishmash of his own and Nathan’s clothing.
He crawled enough back onto the bed to hover over Nathan and captured his lips greedily.
Nathan hummed against Sasha’s mouth. He felt energized too but couldn’t bring himself to move. “I’ll opt out this time, but don’t take too long. You’re still a recovering coma victim, you know.”
Sasha chuckled, sliding from the bed again and picking up what Nathan thought was Jim’s abandoned coat. “Maybe, but what you just gave me is the exact cure I needed,” he said, and winked as he moved for the door.
As Nathan watched Sasha go, he couldn’t help smiling, even lying there naked, alone in the afterglow. He settled back on the bed, content for the first time in longer than he could remember.
And waited.
