I chuckled. “We could always go for a run. Your wolf will take care of it quickly, but you still need to drink plenty of water this morning.”

“I’m never drinking again.”

She held her head and then pulled the pillow out to cover her face with it.

I smiled trying not to laugh.

A part of me hoped she didn’t remember coming home last night. She would never know how hard it was to say no to my aggressive mate once she had her mind set on something, especially me. This was just too big to be done under the influence.

Something told me she wouldn’t be asking me to claim her this morning.

“Do you want me to call Dalton and tell him you aren’t coming in today?”

Pretty sure that was a string of curse words muffled by the pillow.

“So is that a yes?”

“No,” she growled. “I just need to shake this headache.”

“Then go for a quick run for me or even just shift and let your wolf take care of it. I’m telling you it’s the best thing in the world for a hangover.”

“How would you know?” she grumbled as she sat up and seemed to notice for the first time that she was naked.

She gasped and jumped from the bed as her hand flew to her neck.

I cringed.

Guess she remembered after all.

“No!”

“What?” I asked.

“Nothing,” she said sounding a little frustrated. “I think I’ll try the wolf thing, but I’m not really up to running.”

Instead, she shifted and then jumped up on the bed and laid back down.

By the time I got up and dressed, her wolf was fast asleep.

I called Dalton and told him she was going to be a little late and that if it was a problem, he should take it up with Lily.

Dalton had laughed and told me to have her just take the day off.

I called Ruby next.

“Calling out today?” she asked.

“Yes, I am.”

“About damn time. We should celebrate this weekend.”

“Celebrate what exactly?”

“Your bonding. You finally claimed her, right?”

I groaned. “Why am I not surprised to find you were behind that catastrophe.”

“Wait, what happened?”
