She kissed his cheek and I braced myself for a growl that didn’t come.

“See, you’re getting the hang of it,” Wyatt noticed.

“It’s getting a little easier,” I admitted.

Brady threw an arm around her and then kissed her cheek.

I growled as he took off running for his car.

I started to give chase, but Thomas stopped me.

“Let him go. You’re just playing right into his hand.”

I flicked him my middle finger instead.

“I better get back to work. Congratulations, Winnie.”

“Thanks Cruz.”

He tipped his hat to her and then left us.

Looking around, I realized I had everything in my life that truly mattered to me right here.

What more could a simple man like me need than a beautiful woman to call my own, and five of the best friends any guy could hope for?
