Page 10 of His & Hers
God, I’m fucked up.
“Why are you so fucking bipolar?” I pulled out of his grasp.
The car rolled to a stop, and Lucas raised an eyebrow at me, making my heart beat so hard I thought it might come out of my chest.
“You’re lucky I like you,Bellissima,” he muttered, moving me from his lap roughly.
I wondered if I had made the right decision coming back here. Whereverherewas.
“I don’t fucking feel it,” I retorted as Lucas grabbed my face, turning it towards him as he whispered in my ear.
“Keep running that mouth.”
He is so sexy.
“I intend to,” I said before he crushed my lips with his.
His hands were in my hair when my tongue met his. Electricity zipped from my mouth to his, and I moaned against him.
I couldn’t get enough of him.
I gasped when he pulled away, leaving me trembling without his touch.
“Then I will have to bring you in line, young lady.”
I wasn’t sure why, but a tingle of excitement spread all over my body at his words.
“Now get out,” Lucas ordered, as the door beside me opened, as though his words had the power to command it.
I tugged my dress down, stepping out of the car, aware that the driver was holding the door open for me. I ran a hand through my hair as I found myself looking at the sight of the lake.
“Where—”
Lucas’s hands wrapped around my waist, and he spun me around to face the most beautiful house I’deverseen.
I gasped as I took it in, in awe of its mountainside setting. It was all glass and white pillars, and women draped themselves over chairs by the poolside. They were stunningly beautiful, all different races and types of women you could imagine. I immediately felt threatened as they cast appreciative eyes over the man that guided me towards the house quickly.
“Mr. Deacon, Melena is looking for you,” one murmured from the right of him as he turned to stare at her.
“Did I address you?” He came to a stop as she licked her lips, fear swirling in her big brown eyes.
“No—”
“Thenwhyare you speaking to me?” Lucas asked with a glare as she squirmed under his scrutinizing gaze.
“Marco. Take Ariella home,” he instructed.
Ariella, dropping her gaze, placed her champagne glass on the floor before rising to her feet.
“I’m sorry—” Ariella began as Lucas turned to her.
“No, Ariella, you’re not. You saw this woman with me, and you got jealous. You tried to make her feel inferior by referring to Melena as though she meant something to me. Get out of my sight.”
I watched as Ariella hurried away to the limo, the other girls now averting their attention from me.
Lucas gripped my hand, and I had no choice but to follow him into what turned out to be the kitchen.
“Boss, eighty-six.”
