T he afternoon was magical. We ran out to the hardware store to pick up more decorations.

The guys were really feeling the vibe I was going for with the old Victorian home, and they even picked up one of those twelve-foot skeletons.

When we finished, we washed up and changed our clothes before heading out for dinner—at an actual sit-down restaurant with tablecloths.

I couldn’t remember the last time I’d been out to eat without Luke.

After we ordered, we kind of sat there staring at each other, not talking—or rather, they were staring at me. “What?” I asked, feeling slightly embarrassed.

Marcos was the lucky one that won the wrestling match to sit beside me in the booth.

He slid his hand over my thigh and grabbed my hand.

Lacing our fingers together, he brought my hand up to kiss the back of my knuckles.

“We’re just happy to be with you, Mi Vida.

” His voice was a low rumble that sent shivers down my spine.

“Let’s just talk about our dynamic now. No negotiations, just a conversation about what we want or hope for the future,” Nico said.

I looked at Marcos and Jason, who were watching me earnestly. “Alright, let’s keep it simple then,” I began. “Twenty-four-seven is likely off the table. I don’t see it working out now that Luke’s there. I’m not answering questions about our sex-life from my son.”

“Agreed,” Marcos said almost immediately.

“We were never supposed to go full time, it just kind of happened. We’ll make sure to check in more.” Jason nodded.

I bit my lower lip and nodded. “What do you guys want going forward? What do you see our lives like it a year, five years?” I glanced up at Marcos, before turning to Jason and Nico.

“More kids,” Marcos said immediately.

I barked out a laugh. “I figured that much. Yeah.” I reached for my glass of vodka and took a sip.

“More kids, for sure. Might have to put an addition on the house though,” Jason said.

“Why? You plannin’ on having more than three?” I asked, raising my eyebrow.

“Three? Little Dreamer, you got plans over there?”

“And why three?” Jason tacked on.

I laughed. “There’s three bedrooms upstairs, don’t you think you guys will eventually just move into the master with me? Down the line? Like before?”

“Is that on the table?” Marcos asked.

I looked up at him confused. “Of course, why wouldn’t it be?

I’m not talking tomorrow, but in time. After we’ve worked through some things, I don’t see why that wouldn’t be on the table.

I’m staying. I’m here. I’m not going anywhere.

” I squeezed Marcos’s hand while I looked around the table at them.

I reached across the table and both Jason and Nico linked their fingers with mine.

Their smiles were everything I needed.

“So more kids, huh?” Marcos asked, his voice low and his mouth right next to my ear.

“I might have a developed a breeding kink.” I giggle at the heat in his eyes.

“Mi Vida, you have no idea what that does me.”

“I have an idea, Mr. Somnophilia.” I bump his shoulder with mine. We’re quiet for a moment and I scratch my eyebrow as I think.

“What’s on your mind, Darlin’?” Jason asked.

I took a deep breath before I spoke. “How do you guys feel about therapy? Like maybe together and on your own?” Again, I bit my lip, turning so I could face Marcos at the same time as Jason and Nico.

“I’m there, Little Dreamer. Whatever you need.”

I gave Nico a grateful smile while I waited for Marcos and Jason.

Jason nodded slowly. “I talked to Kevin about how they handled things after…Kara.” He sighed deeply and squeezed my fingers tighter. “I will try the group sessions with you…I can’t promise you anything else…talking really isn’t my thing. I’d rather be fighting.”

I smiled softly and nodded. “Thank you. That’s all I ask for, to try.”

“I uh…I reached out to Sheilia,” Marcos said. “She’s involved in the club life and knows what happened. I scheduled a session with her already. We meet next week…We’ll see how it goes.”

I squeezed Marcos’s hand tightly, resting my chin on his arm as I stared up at him. “I think that’s a great idea.”

Tears welled in my eyes as emotions overcame me. They heard me. They listened to me. It was all I fucking wanted in the last ten years. We still had a long way to go, but I felt like we were on the same page trying to get there.
