Story: Free Fire Zone
I peeked out the door and saw him still passed out in bed. Tiptoeing over to the closet, I half shut the door enough to grab what I needed for the day. I toweled off and dropped it to the floor, then slid on my panties, wearing the ones I wished he would see. It was ridiculous to dress for him since there was zero chance of him actually tearing my clothes off and admiring my sexy lingerie, but I couldn’t help that my brain had other ideas. I put on the matching bra and then pulled on the skirt that I thought showed off my ass the best.
I wasn’t wearing it for anyone at school. I just hoped Dash saw me and…And what? Suddenly decided that he couldn’t take another moment without ripping my clothes off? My shoulders sank, knowing I would never have him. Dressing up for him was desperate. Even Lee could see right through me, though she kept her mouth shut. Brock always complimented me on how nice I looked, but never said anything more than that.
Still, dressing up made me feel better, even though I was lying to myself. After choosing a nice blouse, I found a matching pair of heels, knowing they would kill me by the end of the day. When I stepped out of the closet, Dash was just rolling over, rubbing his eyes as he searched the room for me.
When his eyes landed on me, I blushed furiously, hoping he would say something about how beautiful I looked or even that I was sexy. Instead, he shoved the covers off and headed to the bathroom, limping along.
“I gotta piss.”
That wasn’t the reaction I’d been hoping for, but I was fooling myself if I thought dressing up would suddenly change the way he looked at me. I cleaned up the room as I waited for him to get out of the bathroom. With both of us spending the whole weekend in bed, the sheets really needed to be cleaned. I stripped the bed, then found a spare set, making the bed quickly in case he needed to lay down again. After that, I put the dirty laundry in the wash and returned to the room just as he was pulling on fresh clothes.
“Are you going into work today?” I asked in surprise.
“Yeah, I can’t lay around another day. My back is killing me.”
“Well, be careful. Don’t get shot by any more nail guns.”
I smiled at him, finally getting a smirk from him. His eyes studied my face for a moment, almost like he was trying to remember something, but then he shook his head and limped to the door. “I’ll be downstairs.”
“Okay. I just have to do my hair.”
We went our separate ways, neither of us commenting on the tension building between us. I dried my hair, staring at myself in the mirror and wondering if it was me. Did he not find me attractive?Maybe I should wear more makeup. I’d never cared too much about putting on eyeliner or anything like that. In fact, I usually ended up rubbing my eyes and ruining everything I’d done. Still, this morning I grabbed my makeup bag and took extra care to make myself look different—just to see his reaction.
After drying and curling my hair, I decided that was as good as it was going to get. I grabbed my purse, my heels clicking on the floor as I headed downstairs. Brock instantly stopped eating and stared at me, earning the reaction I had hoped for, but Dash was nowhere in sight.
I tried to hide my disappointment and walked over to the counter, grabbing my travel mug, filling it with coffee. As for breakfast, my stomach was in knots and there was no way I could handle putting anything in my tummy until it settled.
Brock cleared his throat, still staring at me. “Uh…you did something different today.”
“Oh, I just put on some makeup. No big deal.”
“Right. Um…Dash went to the…thing—the place.”
I had no idea what that meant, and frankly, after the morning I had, I just needed to get out of here. “Okay, well, I’ll see you later.”
I put on a chipper face and headed for the door, making sure I walked with the confidence of a woman who knew exactly who she was and what she wanted, even if I felt like a fraud. I had to put this obsession behind me. If I didn’t, I was only going to hurt myself.

I sat at work, staring at the computer screen, but seeing nothing. I couldn’t get my mind off what I thought happened last night. It felt so real, but with the amount of drugs I’d been taking, I couldn’t be sure about anything. And if it had really happened, wouldn’t Laura have said something this morning? But man, I was positive I felt her wrapped around my cock, and her lips caressing mine. It was driving me insane. I couldn’t concentrate on a fucking thing when all I could think about was what it was like to be inside her body.
“Earth to Dash!”
I jerked out of my thoughts and turned to face the bane of my existence. “What the fuck do you want?”
Fox grinned at me, holding out a tray of tea. “You’re looking a little lost. What you need is something to settle your mind and set the balance of your world.”
“What I need is to get laid,” I grumbled.
He frowned looking down at his tea. “Right, none of this will help with that, but I’m sure it’ll help set your mind right.”
“I don’t need tea,” I snapped.
“Then meditation. Maybe it’ll help with your chakra.”
“My what?”
