Story: CeCe Sloan is Swooning
Alexis chuckled. “My little sleepyhead.”
“Someone kept me up past my bedtime,” CeCe said with a grin.
“You started it!”
CeCe laughed. “Oh, we’re both equally responsible and I wouldn’t change a thing.”
Their lips met again in a soft kiss. This time when CeCe pulled away she sweetly said, “Good morning, honey.”
“Good morning.” Alexis smiled. “I’ll pick you up for the party tonight. Do you want to stay at my place or yours?”
CeCe’s face lit up with surprise. “You’re confident I’m not going to embarrass you?”
“How could you embarrass me?” Alexis shrugged.
“I could tell everyone that the amazingly gifted Dr. Reed has a weakness,” CeCe said.
“Oh?”
“Yeah, when I kiss her right here,” CeCe said and softly kissed just below Alexis's ear. “She’ll do anything I say.”
Alexis moaned. “You are not wrong.”
“Or I could tell them behind this serious, usually stoic surgeon,” CeCe said in a severe tone, “is the most generous, beautiful heart.”
“You think I have a generous heart?”
“I know you do.” CeCe grinned.
Alexis felt that funny little flutter in her heart. Add that to the list of things CeCe Sloan did to her. “Why don’t we spend the weekend together?” Alexis said.
CeCe looked at Alexis and wondered what she was thinking.
“Is that too much? I would love to spend all day with you. We don’t have to do anything, just a normal day, hanging out…” Alexis rambled.
“And discovering things like last night?”
“Among other things.”
“What things do you usually do on weekends?” CeCe asked with a twinkle in her eye.
“I catch up on any medical reading I didn’t have time for during the week. What do you do?”
“I clean my house, but I’m pretty sure you have someone who does that for you.”
“I do.”
“I don’t blame you!” CeCe exclaimed, sitting up in the bed. “I usually go to the grocery store and go by the shop to check on things. I try not to schedule any Saturday appointments.”
“Do you watch TV?” Alexis asked.
CeCe nodded. “I love cooking competition shows.”
“Oh, that sounds like fun. Maybe we could cook something together.”
“I didn’t say I could cook,” CeCe pointed out.
Alexis laughed. “Maybe I can cook.”
