“Hi, Lana,” Alexis said.

CeCe could feel Alexis's eyes on her as she moved about the kitchen.

“Yes, I was with patients when you called earlier. I’m excited for her to meet y’all. I think,” Alexis said into the phone.

CeCe smiled and put their dishes in the dishwasher.

“Yes, she’s beautiful, but you’ll have to find out the rest tomorrow when we see you,” Alexis said.

CeCe imagined Lana was asking all sorts of questions about her. She knew if the tables were turned her friends would be doing the same thing. She turned around and Alexis was staring at her while she listened to Lana on the phone.

CeCe hadn’t hidden the fact that she was nervous about meeting Alexis's friends. But when she met Alexis's gaze, those brown eyes gave her such a feeling of belonging. It didn’t matter that she was a hairstylist surrounded by medical professionals because she was with Alexis. They belonged together no matter where they were. She hoped to remember this feeling when they went to the party.

“Okay, see you tomorrow,” Alexis said, ending the call.

Alexis got up, walked over to where CeCe leaned against the kitchen counter, and put her hands on CeCe’s hips. “What is that look?”

CeCe lazily rested her arms on Alexis's shoulders and gave her a smoldering look. “I’m yours,” she said softly, pressing her lips to Alexis's. She should be afraid that Alexis might not feel the same, but CeCe had decided last night while she held Alexis in her arms that she wanted the chance to love Alexis's heart like it should’ve been loved all along.

Alexis deepened the kiss and CeCe was glad she was leaning against the counter otherwise she’d melt right to the floor.

“Mmm, I’m having you for dessert,” Alexis moaned into CeCe’s ear.

CeCe took a steadying breath and led them to the bedroom. “When I left this morning I didn’t know I wouldn’t be alone when I came back.”

“Plan on it from now on,” Alexis said.

CeCe turned just as Alexis claimed her mouth with the most sensuous, luscious lips. She felt like Alexis was kissing them into some kind of lavender haze just like the Taylor Swift song.

The next thing CeCe knew, they were lying on her bed, face to face, no longer wearing clothes. Alexis was stroking the side of her face with her fingers and staring intensely into her eyes.

“You make me feel things I’ve never felt before. When I’m not concentrating on a patient, my mind drifts to you. Let me show you what you make me feel.”

CeCe smiled. Her heart soared with Alexis's words. Maybe she did feel it, too. “Let’s do this together,” she whispered.

Alexis's brows rose then CeCe could see her take a deep breath.

They started with a kiss and began to create the most intimate dance that only their hearts knew. CeCe understood what Alexis meant earlier. They had both been in love at one time or another, but it hadn’t felt like this. CeCe knew Alexis might still be afraid to call it love, but what she felt for Alexis was better than any love she’d felt before and she intended to show her.

“I’ve never wanted you as much as I do right this moment,” CeCe said softly as she pulled her lips from Alexis's and stared into her eyes. She slid her hand from where it had been splayed on Alexis's back down her side and over her hip.

“I want you just as much.” Alexis gasped as she mirrored CeCe’s movements.

“I want to feel you inside me as I’m inside you,” CeCe whispered. She wanted to give herself to Alexis, but she also wanted to show Alexis she could let go and trust CeCe with her heart.

Alexis nodded. “Show me.”

CeCe lifted her top leg and bent it, resting her foot on the bed. She waited for Alexis to follow her lead. When Alexis raised her leg, CeCe reached for Alexis's hand and placed it on her sex. Her eyelids fluttered closed as she felt Alexis's fingers explore her wetness. CeCe opened her eyes and found a smile playing at the corners of Alexis's mouth.

“You feel so good,” CeCe said, exhaling. She ran her fingers through Alexis's folds and saw her eyes shut as well.

“Mmm,” Alexis groaned. “You’re right, this feels so good.”

CeCe leaned in and kissed Alexis softly on the lips. “Be careful, you’ll make me come with those magic fingers of yours before we even get going.”

Alexis pressed their lips together again. “Then let’s go.”

CeCe replied with a throaty chuckle. She pushed two fingers inside Alexis and they both groaned as Alexis did the same with her fingers.
