The High Priest’s position was the most sacred position in all of Imperia. It only followed that the High Priest’s apprentice, the Second, was the next most sacred position. Sacred positions came with quite a few privileges but even more responsibilities. At least that was what Lateo had discovered in his time as the next High Priest in training.

Of course, he would never dare be ungrateful. Lateo couldn’t even imagine what his life would be like if not for High Priest Balgair, what would have happened to him if Balgair hadn’t chosen him. But knowing that didn’t mean some of the requirements and responsibilities of the Second weren’t incredibly frustrating.
