“I hate you,” he says.
“Guess we’re back to that.” I should have known the bliss couldn’t last.
“Did you fuck Zack?”
“Not that it matters, but no,” I reply.
His hands travel down my legs and he dips into my bikini bottoms.
“Lincoln.”
“This is what sluts do, right?”
“I’m not a slut.” I don’t know how else to get through to him. In his eyes, I will never change.
He doesn’t say anything. I can see the anger burning in his eyes because he believed what Zack said. I don’t know how else I can make him see I’m not that person anymore.
He’s naked and his anger turns to lust as he brings me to orgasm. His finger keeps flicking my clit and I’m so close.
“Linc,” I breathe right as he thrusts into me. This is not simple or sweet, this is angry sex. He’s saying goodbye and that brings tears to my eyes as he keeps up a quick pace.
“Fuck,” he groans and I can feel him spill in me.
“Fuck you,” he whispers.
“I’m not that person. I love you,” I whisper to him and he just shakes his head.
“I loved you,” and he swims off. Tears fill my eyes. I never knew he could be so cruel.
Chapter Twenty-Five
Lincoln
I’m a dick. I’m a bigger dick than Memphis. Why do I care what others say? I’ve never listened to rumors before. I guess it’s because I actually love her, and I keep thinking she’s going to ruin me, so I ruined her first.
I head to my cabin and lay down, pretending I’m asleep when Victoria comes in. She huffs when she thinks I’m asleep and I hear her crawl in bed.
Several hours later, I go to the barn to sleep in the loft apartment because I’m not good company right now and I don’t want to start anything with any of the other contestants.
I’m just about to fall asleep when my phone rings.
“Hello?”
“Hello, son,” my mom says. What the hell?
“What do you want?”
She takes a minute to answer and I know she’s asking for money.
“I’m broke,” she says.
“Blew through all that money already, the money you stole?” Hard to believe she burned through millions, but hey, I bet my dad drank most of it away.
“Your dad made me do it.”
“I find that hard to believe since he was blackout drunk most of the time,” I sneer.
“I didn’t . . . ”
