Once I had his face cleaned up, I began the exfoliating process.
His skin was pretty good, so I went with a basic facial scrub.
He tried to make small talk with me as I did his facial, but I gave him minimal conversation.
I wasn’t trying to be rude; I just wasn’t in the mood to really be talking.
My head and my stomach were hurting. I wanted to shout for joy once I was done.
“Your hands are like magic, baby.” He grinned.
“Thanks.” I kept my responses short because I knew where the conversation was going before it even started.
“Can I take you out sometimes?”
“You can’t, I’m married.” I flashed my ring for good measure.
“Ahh, JV, right?”
“If you knew that, why did you ask me out?”
“I don’t know, figure I’d try my hand. If you were mine, you wouldn’t be working. That nigga slipping.”
“Well, good thing I’m not yours, right.” I smiled and pointed to the door. “You can see yourself out.”
He grinned. “Feisty, I like that shit. How do I schedule again?”
“Front desk,” I answered. “And Levi, schedule with someone else.”
He didn’t want the problems that came with Javyous and neither did I. The man was crazy and I didn’t want to be on the receiving end of his wrath.
I cleaned up my room before going to my office to get my stuff.
I was so ready to get home and to my bed that it wasn’t even funny.
I almost called Javyous to come and get me because I didn’t feel like driving, but I knew how hard he had been working.
So I decided against it and just drove myself to the house.
I noticed Javyous’s car was in the other spot in front of the house. I was happy to see that he was home.
I rushed inside to find him lying on the couch playing his video game. I rolled my eyes and put my things on the kitchen counter before making my way over to give him a kiss. When I tried to go vertical again, he pulled me down on top of him.
“How you feeling, beautiful?”
“Not beautiful,” I pouted. “I’m sleepy and hungover.”
“Nobody told you to go out and get drunk on a weekday, baby.”
“You’re not supposed to say that,” I pouted. “A good husband would say ‘I’ll take care of you my dear sweet, beautiful wife.’”
He was all smiles when I said that.
“Oh, aight, I’m fucking up.” Squeezing me tighter, he kissed the top of my head. “Aight, since you went out and irresponsibly drank with your best friend and my nutty ass cousin, I’ll take care of you.”
A series of kisses were placed on my forehead and traveled south until his lips landed on mine.
“Oh, I forgot this part; you’re fine as fuck, got good pussy, and be sucking a nigga off so?—”
“Okay, JV, I get it.” I laughed. My face felt like it was about to break due to smiling so hard.
Being with Javyous, in a relationship and living with him, was so refreshing.
I was with Pharaoh for a long time and he never made me feel the way that Javyous did.
Javyous made it clear that he was obsessed with me and made sure that I always knew that he was interested.
“I thought you’d be at the gym all day today.” I shifted in his arms so that I was laid with my back to his front on the massive sectional and changed the subject.
“That was the plan, but I need to kick it with you and the twins too. A nigga got to hit the road soon, so I need to get some time in.”
My smile faded when he said that. He had a fight coming up, and because I didn’t want to bring the twins along, I was staying home. I felt like a bad wife for not going, but with me trying to better my business I needed to be here.
“Are you mad that I’m not going?” I asked, turning in his arms so that I was facing him.
“A little disappointed that you won’t be face down ass up when I get back to the room, but naw, I’m not mad, baby.” A smile covered the bottom of his handsome face.
“Is everything about sex with you?”
“Most of the time when you’re involved.” He laughed when I playfully punched him in the stomach.
“Naw, you know it’s not just about sex. You my best friend, my wife, my dawg, my everything, so yeah, I want you there with me, but I want your business and shit to be successful and as big as you want it to be too, so I understand why you can’t make it. ”
“Really?” I felt tears filling my eyes after listening to him because he was my person so that made him my everything too.
“Hell yeah. Shit with us happened in a crazy way, but I know it’s real. Never had to second guess it.”
“Baby, you’re too sweet.” I simpered and kissed his lips.
“Oh shit, you ’bout to give a nigga some pussy?”
Laughing, I climbed out of his arms and off of the couch before heading for the steps.
I had been at work all day, around people and chemicals, so I needed to wash the day off of me.
I turned to Javyous who was sitting up on the couch watching me with his lip tucked between his teeth.
Since he was watching, I slowly pulled my shirt over my head.
“You feel like helping your wife out in the shower?”
I didn’t have to wait for him to respond. He jumped over the back of the couch and rushed toward me, scooping me in his arms and running up the stairs straight to our bathroom.
I guess I got my answer.
