Chapter 9
Kyler
Brysen might’ve been the slut in our group, but I was no virgin. I loved sex. Loved hooking up, sometimes with guys I knew I’d never see again, and other times with guys I wanted more than sex with. I’d gone through a phase where all I’d done was fuck and get fucked.
The night I’d graduated from high school, Brysen and I’d snuck into a club and I’d let some random guy fuck me in the bathroom. Not my finest moment, but not too bad. Better than the few week binge where I’d had a different guy every night, as well as several threesomes.
I’d matured a little since then, but I’d learned a lot from it. My experience in that department was enough for me to know when a guy was interested.
The signals: quickening breath, wayward glances to my mouth and down my body, smoldering eyes, and swallows in the throat.
All signals that Declan was currently giving to me.
He’d removed his sunglasses earlier, so I could see the full-force of his green eyes as they roamed my body. His Adam’s apple bobbed as he tightly swallowed.
Sitting beside him, I dug a nail into my arm just to make sure I was awake. Because it was too crazy. He couldn’t be into me. I was imagining it.
Declan was straight.
His lustful eyes said differently, as did the way he grazed his teeth over his bottom lip and pinned me with a stare that made all my blood rush south.
When we got to the hotel, Gideon parked out back and we went inside, avoiding the crowd that’d gathered in the lobby. I still wasn’t sure what the hell we were doing as we took the elevator to the fourth floor.
Was I seriously about to fuck Declan Price?
There I went with the wishful thinking again.
My stomach fluttered as we walked down the long hallway. My throat was dry and no amount of swallowing helped. In fact, it only made it worse.
Gideon stopped at a door and looked at Declan. “If there’s anything you need, you know where to find me.”
Declan nodded before going to the next door over. He grabbed the keycard from his wallet, unlocked the door, and went inside.
And I stood in the hall like a moron, not sure what to do.
“You coming?” Declan asked, eyeing me.
God, I hope so.
“Yeah.” I stepped into the room and the door clicked shut behind me.
It locked once it closed, but Declan put down the other lock, too. As if he was paranoid of someone walking in on us.
I gulped.
The hotel was the nicest in Addersfield. There was a large bathroom, a mini-kitchen, couch, and a king sized bed near the window. Yet, I didn’t care about anything in the room other than the fine ass man who stood in front of me.
Declan held eye contact as he tossed his phone, wallet, and sunglasses on the table. Tension rolled off him. But not the bad kind. No, this was a sexual tension that had me nearly panting just from looking at him. He walked toward me, slow and with determination in his eyes.
I couldn’t move. I could barely breathe.
“I’ve wanted to do this since the first day I saw you,” he said, his voice low.
“D-Do what?”
Declan slid a hand around my waist, brought me flush against his chest, and kissed me.
I grunted against his mouth, shocked. His lips were just as soft as I’d dreamed they’d be, but fuck, he tasted better than I’d ever imagined.
