More fucking decisions.

I moaned, and Vince growled around my cock, sending vibrations up my shaft. I’d moved, which he didn’t like, because it hurt me. Every time he cleaned my injury and oiled my skin, he sucked me off, though he never let me reciprocate.

His silky tongue moved over my length, and I cried out, balls high and tight. I was close. Vince worked his tongue over the head of my cock, and I whimpered, then loudly yelled when he licked the slit.

“Vince, please!”

Soon, he thought. Vince was enjoying sucking me, but he liked pushing me toward my breaking point. All I could think about was his tongue on my bare skin. It had felt amazing. I’d never experienced anything like it.

Vince kept sucking and stroking my cock until I struggled to keep still, constantly begging him. He moved to the tapered crown and ordered, Come for me, my Don.

I came with a shout, head arching back as my hand fisted in his hair and my tail strangled his wrist. Pleasure zinged along my nerves, burning me.

The waves of my orgasm dragged me under.

It took me some time to come back to awareness.

Vince, like always, was licking all of my seed off.

I squirmed, sensitive, but he continued until he was done, then lay against my side.

“Please, my Vince,” I asked. He hadn’t had any release since his injury.

“No. Klars said my shoulder plasters can come off today, and I want to fuck you. So nope. I’m saving it.”

I ran my hand over his back. “I would like that.”

He kissed my chest. “Of course you would.”

I kept him close against me as Vince nuzzled my neck and smoothed his hand over my side. I groaned.

Vince smiled against my neck. “Sleep.”

My eyes started to close, but a random thought passed through Vince’s head.

He planned to go to the med bay after I fell asleep, then check in with Seth on how the hunt for the humans was going.

Seth was probably on board, but he might be with Kalvoxrencol.

The thought of Vince being on the station without me made my eyes snap open and my breath harshen.

“Sweetheart?”

“I will go with you.”

“What?” he asked.

“I will go with you to the med bay, then to see Seth.”

“You’re not jealous, right?”

“No,” I answered. “I know you love me, Vince.”

He smiled, kissing the corner of my mouth, and my soul picked up. It took very little to stir me. I ran a hand over his back, and he arched into my touch. I couldn’t help but think of how terrified he used to be of me when we first met, and now, he loved me and my touch.

“I want to go with you,” I said, palming the back of his head. “Please, Vince.”

“Why? I’m just going to the med bay. It’s not a big deal.”

“I need to make sure you’re healing.”

Vince kissed me. “You like to worry, my Don.”

My soul stuttered.

“But fine. As long as we walk slowly. I don’t want you to strain your injury.”

“I can do that.”

Klars walked around me. He looked so human, even though he wasn’t.

Amorians were apparently closely related to humans in the grand evolutionary scheme of the universe or some shit.

They were faster, stronger, and had better sight I believed, not mentioning the dots that went down in a V to their nose and then another V on the sides of their mouth.

The dots could rip open and reveal fangs and tentacles, according to Seth, but I was pretty sure he was shitting me.

Don said from behind me, “He’s not.”

My eyes widened in surprise.

“It’s the truth,” he said.

Klars glanced at us, probably confused by the one-sided conversation.

I ignored him, since I didn’t really like him anyway, and reached for Don with my good hand.

He was pacing far too much as he waited for the results.

Klars had merely scanned me. Nothing more.

I was fine, even if the plasters had to stay on for a few more days.

He stood in between my legs, and I wrapped my arm around him, chin on his chest. I told him, “I love you.”

Don bent to place his head on mine.

Apparently, I only had to say it once, and the words wouldn’t stop coming out. I’d never told anyone I was with that I loved them, besides Seth, and that didn’t count. Of course, I never loved someone like I loved Don.

His hand ran over my back, and he rubbed his forehead against mine. “Vince.” He didn’t say anything more than my name, but it was enough.

Klars returned, tablet in his pale hands. “From my scans, our techniques are not working as well on you, which I should’ve anticipated since the plasters on your hands hadn’t worked quite as planned.”

“What does that mean?” Don demanded, tail thrashing. “Vince will be fine, right?”

“Yes,” he replied, not even looking at us, eyes on the tablet.

“The plasters will take more time than I estimated, but he should make a full recovery. The bruises are fading, the scratches look excellent, and his scan is promising. Vince simply needs time.” Klars tucked the tablet under his arm and smiled kindly at me.

“Another week at the most, and you will be back to normal.”

Well, I wouldn’t be fucking Don tonight.

He pulled me closer. “Don’t worry. We still can.”

I frowned. It was fine if we didn’t fuck; we had time.

Don looked at Klars and asked again, “But my Vince will be fine?”

“Yes. The damage, while colorful, wasn’t as bad as it could’ve been. Arachlyns are exceedingly strong, and humans, from my study, are quite fragile.”

Don straightened like a bolt of electricity had shocked him. I shot Klars a glare, and dragged Don closer. Fucking Klars. This was why I didn’t like that fake, smiley asshole. He didn’t need to scare Don. I was fine, and humans weren’t weaklings.

I arched up and dragged Don down, planting a kiss on his lips. “I am fine,” I whispered against him. To Klars, I said, “Shut the fuck up.”

He simply lifted his eyebrows. “Captain Dontilvynsan, I believe Dr. Muznim said you should be resting.”

I could feel a growl vibrating in his chest, and I tugged Don closer before he did something stupid. Growling at the humans’ personal healer, the one chosen to keep oh-so-precious Seth alive wasn’t a good idea, nor good for his job.

The growl died, probably because of my thoughts. “Come, my Vince,” Don said.

Standing, I grabbed his hand, and we headed out of the med bay. I needed to tuck Don back in bed, then go see Seth; I should probably also call Teddy. He’d been holed up in his room. The captive humans somewhere were probably triggering him too.

“I’ll go with you.”

“Sweetheart, I’m fine.” When Don didn’t say anything, I glanced at him. His eyebrows were furrowed and his tail was near strangling my ankle. He was scared. I stopped and grabbed his face. “I promise not to leave the ship, Donny. I’m going to stay right here with you.”

He frowned.

“You need to nap, and I’m sure go over reports or whatnot.” I kissed him. “I’ll come back.”

Don nuzzled me. “Fine, my Vince. I will do as you say.”

I sat on Seth’s couch. Predictably, he had a live feed of his baby on the TV. The entire station was on lockdown as they searched for the humans. Scans had revealed nothing, but there were humans somewhere. Kal had ordered a full search. Seth was hopeful they would find the other humans soon.

I gripped my necklaces and announced, “I’m going to stay.”

Seth jerked toward me. “What?”

“I’m going to stay here with Don, with you, with Teddy.”

A smile spread over his face. “You are?”

“Yeah.”

He dragged me into his arms. I stiffened before forcing myself to relax. “I mean, Don deserves more than me, but I can’t leave him. I love him, Seth.”

“What do you mean he deserves more? There’s nothing wrong with you.”

There were lots of things wrong with me, and Don was literally the best person I’d ever met.

“Vince?”

“What?”

“Don’s lucky to have you.”

I wasn’t going to fight with him. Seth was way too nice, and he’d never come to my way of thinking. “Anyway, I haven’t told him yet, but I thought about getting him a ring and asking him if he wants to be husbands, I guess.”

“I'm pretty sure, he’ll say yes.”

“Me too.” While Don hadn’t told me that he loved me, he’d said we would be mates if I stayed. That was basically the human equivalent of marriage.

Seth squeezed me. “I’m so happy for you, and me. My baby needs their uncle, and I want my best friend.”

I rolled my eyes. Seth and his kid, who would’ve thought? “How do I get a ring?”

He pointed to the dispenser. “NAID will have Don’s measurements, so making a ring won’t be hard. If you want something special engraved in it, just fool around with a design and NAID will implement it.”

“Oh. Right.”

“I did learn that from you,” Seth replied, looking at his kid again.

The blob looked the exact same. I wasn’t sure what I was even looking at.

I grabbed Seth’s tablet, and sketched something. I wasn’t great, but I only wanted stars on the inside of his band, so it didn’t take much skill. Then I simply went to the dispenser and ordered a gold ring the size of his left ring finger.

With a quick goodbye, I went back to our apartment, the ring burning a hole in my pocket. Don might deserve better, but he wanted me. We were going to be together, no matter how guilty I felt about it.
