Page 83 of Breaking Sanity
“Calm your ass down. She fucking started it by licking my lip, then bit my lip. It just happened, Gun.”
Now that part I know. Caine and I bled into each other, so I came out of the black hole just in time to kiss her and get kicked in the fucking nuts.
Correction: she kicked me that time. You just got kicked by her today, so stop bitching. We are even.
“Give him that, Gunny. She knows how to hit the right buttons,” Baron defends me. Baron does this to Gunner a lot. He pushes to see where he is at with his spiral and then backs off.
“And what is your excuse?” Gunner’s cloudy eyes turn to Vaughn. Vaughn just stands there with his arms crossed and his lips in a tight line. But he doesn’t defend himself. He stays quiet.
“Fuck! Fine!” Gunner rings out his hands. “Finish what you started with her on your days but don’t fucking rip her apart from the inside. I have an attachment to that tight pussy.”
“You don’t say,” Vaughn scoffs.
“Don’t get me started with you, Vaughn.”
“What does that mean?”
“That you are just as obsessed with her. Fuck, even as much as Carson was before she nearly killed him. The way he took Libby was purely to get at her,” I say. “Then again, she put herself on Carson’s radar when she insulted him the day he threw Annie into the wall.”
“She is going to rip us apart,” Vaughn grits.
“That is a possibility unless we reevaluate how we handle her,” Baron advises. “Tonight was an insight on how to do that.”
“You felt it too,” Gunner asks, starting to calm down.
“Yes.”
“I am not going to even try to understand what you two are talking about,” Vaughn huffs. “I’ll let you know when they are bringing her up.”
Vaughn steps over the broken door and disappears into the hall.
“When do I get her,” I ask, breaking their silent conversation.
“We are adding a day of our choosing, along with the week,” Baron answers.
“When?”
“In three months, after Annie’s contract is over,” Gunner says.
“We need to let her out during the day. She is building bonds with the girls, and several have contracts expiring in the next several months.”
“Agreed.”
“Okay, I am going to check on my minion and Carson. You two have fun plotting.” I go to leave as well.
“I’ll text you when she is back up here.”
“Don’t bother. You guys handle the Little Minx. I will have my time with her soon enough.”
Our time, asshole.
“Understood,” Baron says.
I practically run down the hall and into my room. I need a minute before I go deal with Melanie, who has been extra whiny and clingy since Alley put her in medical, again.
At first, I was annoyed that she had the audacity to even try to hurt Mel. After getting some time with Alley, I was angrier that Mel even touched her.
Plus, I have my suspicions about Melanie and need to dig deeper before I can do anything about it. I think Alley feels the same way and I need her to keep digging. It’ll give her something to do and maybe stop her from attacking us for a while. Maybe I can fuck what she knows out of her. She might tell me during a blissed-out haze. What do people call that? Pillow talk? I bang the back of my head on the now closed door trying to calm my breathing.
