Page 72 of Breaking Sanity
“Oh, take it easy on Shadow. Not being able to be with you or being able to save you from what is about to happen is killing him.”
“Well, he shouldn’t have left me to be a guard dog for these douche canoes,” I huff, rolling towards the white wall. “Goodnight, Baby Face.”
“It wasn’t an easy choice for either of us,” Eagle whispers. “Good night Baby Girl.”

I stand in the same mini dress I wore the first night, as he requested. In this dark almost Gothic plantation house, the only light on is the chandelier dangling above me. The darkness surrounds me and I can’t see beyond what the light hits. I reread our last text thread.
Me: Have you ever had a threesome?
Unknown: I already don’t like where this conversation is going.
Me: Just answer the question mystery man.
Unknown: Yes.
Me: A devil’s three-way or like with two girls?
Unknown: Little monster what are you getting at?
Me: Again just answer the question.
Unknown: Both.
Me: I want a devil’s three-way. I was reading this book and it sounds like fun.
Unknown: I am not sharing you.
Me: Well, I guess I can go back to that club and find two random guys. The month is half way over. I can wait. What’s that website again?
Unknown: You will not be doing that. Try it and I will have your ass blacklisted so fast.
Me: So, craigslist it is? *tongue out emoji*
Unknown: Meet me here tonight and I will give you what you want.
Me: Deal.
Unknown: Wear the dress from our first night…
Me: I’ll consider it. See you tonight.
Unknown: Alley, do it or else.
Me: Speaking of the first night, how is it that you knew my name?
He read it but never responded. I didn’t bombard him with any more texts and just waited for tonight. I should’ve let him know I was here but I was too excited to see what he had planned.
I took a shot in the dark on this fantasy but he agreed… I think. I mean he never said he would do it. The more I stare at my phone, the more nervous I get. I start to bounce on my toes to expel the energy but nothing is helping. A noise to my left nearly has me jumping out of my skin. A man slowly appears wearing a masquerade devil mask. I start to drag my feet backwards.
“Mystery Man,” I ask, trying to sound calm.
His response is a dark chuckle while shaking his head. His dark hair is long on top but appears to be shaved on the sides, causing it to go forward covering a portion of his face. He has perfectly tousled hair. The emo inside me is so jealous of his hair. I have to color it to get that dark. Not to mention the amount of styling I would have to do for it to wave like that.
“Who are you?” My voice comes out a little higher pitched than I would like. He tilts his head and inches closer. Almost as if he is mocking my attempt to get away from him, like when Pennywise mocks the kid with the broken arm and asthma. My back clashes into something solid and before I let out a scream, a hand covers my mouth.
“Shh Little Monster ,” he whispers in my ear. “Breathe okay. My friend in front of you has a little bit of a fucked sense of humor.”
