Page 41 of Breaking Sanity
Alley charges at me like a bull going for the red flag. She starts to punch my chest, my gut, my face but I have to stop her when she goes for my groin. Grabbing her ankle, I shove her backwards. She stumblesand lands on her ass with a loud thud. I am thankful she lives on the basement level or surely her neighbors would’ve called the cops. She snarls and glares at me through her lashes. Her irises have started to claim back my new favorite color that was robbed from them.
That’s it, come back to me, my Little Monster .
She jumps to her feet and lunges for me again. I pin her to the wall with one hand as she claws the shit out of my arm. Pulling out my phone I hit play on the playlist I made specifically for her. Her Bluetooth speakers start to play “Sound Effects and Overdramatics” by The Used.
What I noticed with Alley, especially after stalking her for a whole fucking year, her old emo music is what centers her. She focuses on the lyrics while tapping her foot to the beat. With the state she is in right now, she can’t do it for herself. So, I’ll do it for her and only her.
“She is all yours,” Gunner announces before he closes the door.
Alley still sits there quietly stroking her bottom lip with her pointer finger. She’s not registering that Baron is even speaking to her. No, she is lost in her own mind.
“Alley,” Baron says assertively. “What happened with you and Nikolas?”
Still nothing, but Baron keeps repeating until finally she snaps out of it. Her head snaps to him and her body jolts then relaxes. Now she is back to being herself, somewhat.
Chapter 8
Alley
One hour before
I hit the bed post for the billionth time and go crashing to the unforgiving floor. This time I actually hit my head. Even with a day’s rest, if that is what you want to call it, my body still felt battered when the guard dragged me in here.
“Watch your fucking mouth,” he spits as I try to pick myself back up.
“I can’t, my nose is in my way,” I laugh, spitting the blood on the ground. “You should tell me if it does tricks.”
Seriously Alley!
SHUT. THE. FUCK. UP!
“Knock it off,” He growls in my face.
Dragging me up by my hair, he wraps his hand around my throat. I’ve lost count of how many times that has happened to me in the last 72 hours. I get that it’s supposed to be a power move to show dominance and how easy itwould be to snap my neck or strangle me, but for the love of God choose something else. He is ruining one of my favorite kinks!
“Or what? You’re going to kill me Nik,” I taunt, because I apparently don’t know when to stop.
“There are worse things than death, Butterfly,” he grinds his teeth.
“Yeah, being stuck in this room with you seems to be at the top of that list,” I choke.
“Trust me, I am better company than most,” he smiles and releases my throat but his fist still holds my hair hostage.
I’ll chop my hair off before another one of them gets a chance to keep pulling it!
I thought you like your hair being pulled.
Shut Up!
“Which one of your brothers are you referring to? Vaughn,” I snark.
He just throws me back into the post as an answer.
I am so tired of being a damn rag doll, so as he approaches I lunge at him. I can only get so far with my ankle chained to the bed but that doesn’t mean I am not going to try. I wrap his legs in my arms and use the little strength I have left to lift them from under him. His back makes a loud thud when it collides with the floor, giving me a chance to crawl on top of him. I push my thumb nail into his eye socket and he roars in pain.
Hurts doesn’t it asshole.
It’s a short-lived victory, because he throws me off him by my hair causing me to land on my already bruised right side. The tears start to spill over my lower lashes; my body is so beat up that I can’t hold them back. I am just so tired but I can’t stop myself from fighting.
