My chest warmed. “I like that.”
“What? The thought of poking my eye out? You sadist.”
“No,” I said, lightly flicking the center of his forehead. “Your laugh. I like it.”
Bellamy’s smile turned a little sad. The colors in his hazel eyes swirled as always. “Since you’ve been here, I’ve locked you in a cage and then put a collar around your neck, suppressing your powers. You should hate me, not be thinking my laugh is cute.”
“I never said it was cute.” I leaned in to brush our lips together. Once, twice, then deepening the kiss on the third pass.
His hand came to rest at my neck, and his thumb smoothed across my collar. He rolled on top of me and aligned our bodies before kissing me so damn good my head spun.
“I love that collar around your neck,” he said, voice thick. He ground his hips into mine as he nipped at it with his teeth.
“Possessive much?”
“Over you?” Bellamy grazed his teeth along my jaw. “Always.”
An hour passed. We heavily made out, touched, and fucked like animals. On my knees, Bellamy gripped my horns as he pounded into me from behind, balls slapping mine with each hard thrust.
The gentle lover from last night was still there in every kiss, though he ravaged my body in the way I craved. He knew what I needed without me saying a word. Just like he’d known last night.
I had always viewed sex as a tool. I had been used and fucked hard by men I wouldn’t have even spit on if they were on fire. It had never been about sexual pleasure for me but, rather, what I could gain from it afterward. Who I could manipulate to get ahead. Bellamy had seen beneath the charade last night and realized that what I had truly needed in that moment was to feel cared for.
But this morning? I wanted it hard. I wanted him to fuck me like he hated me. Part of him probably still did.
“Let me hear you,” Bellamy growled, pulling back on my horn.
A groan rumbled in my throat as his cock hit my sweet spot. He was carnal sin and passion and so many deliciously wicked things wrapped together in one beautiful male.
Most of all, he was mine.
After nutting hard—twice, thanks to his sin—I collapsed on the bed in a heap of sweat and jelly-like muscles. He really would kill me someday. Chuckling under his breath, Bellamy carried me to the connecting bathroom and started the water for a shower. Once beneath the spray, he pushed me against the wall and claimed my mouth again.
We’d kissed so much that morning my lips were swollen. But I didn’t care. I couldn’t get enough of him. I never would.
Bellamy broke from the kiss.
“What’s wrong?” I panted.
“My brothers,” he responded. “They want us downstairs for breakfast. Well, I should say Raiden does. It’s kind of his thing.”
My stomach rumbled, and I put a hand to it.
Bellamy smiled. “Hungry for more than just sex, huh? Do demons even eat real food? You won’t find any of those magic-grown apples, questionable meat, or stale bread here.” He gently flicked my collar. “Or maybe I should have Raiden prepare a doggy bowl?”
“You asshole.” I swatted at him, and he laughed as he spun away. I was smiling. It felt… strange. The weightless feeling in my chest did too.
Once we were dressed, we left his room. Nerves fluttered in my belly. I was in a mansion filled with males who hated me. It didn’t exactly feel welcoming.
“None of them will fuck with you,” Bellamy said, placing a hand on my lower back as we descended the stairs into the entrance hall.
“I’m not worried about it.”
“Uh-huh.” He guided me toward the kitchen.
My interactions with the Nephilim brothers had always been so intense. We’d either been in battle trying to kill each other, or I had popped in to taunt them throughout Echo Bay.
Now, they moved around the kitchen, laughing and preparing breakfast. Raiden got on to Gray, who had stolen bacon off the massive platter and giggled as he ran off to share his theft with Mason. Relief went through me upon seeing Galen wasn’t there. Simon wasn’t either.
