“We’re about to head to Krave,”Castor projected into my head.“Al wants to talk to Konnar so he knows the shit that’s about to go down. Wanna go with us?”

“You have the worst timing in the fucking world,”I responded. Even the voice in my head had a snippy growl to it.

“You’re welcome.”

After marking Phoenix and drinking a bit more than what was required because my hunger for his blood nearly rivaled my desire for his body, I gently pulled away and kissed the bite marks, sending my healing energy into my lips to close the pierced flesh.

“So possessive,” Phoenix said, flashing a relaxed smile. His lids were heavy.

“Of course I am.” I ghosted my mouth across his. “I want everyone to know you’re mine.”

“Yeah? And what about you being mine? Your precious twins will be all over you.”

“Your jealousy is kinda cute,” I said, unable to fight a smile.

“I’ll show you cute when I rip their throats out.”

“They’ll know I’m yours. My mark is on you, but yours is on my soul.”

“You’re such a damn cheeseball.” Phoenix nipped at my bottom lip.

“You made me bleed,” I said, wiping away a drop of blood.

“I guess we’re even, then.”

Growling low in my throat, I closed the gap between our mouths and kissed him hard. He licked the seam of my lips and tasted my blood before pushing me to my back on the grass and taking control of the kiss. My powers healed the cut, and he bit me again. The little devil.

“Go without me,”I told Castor, moving my hands to Phoenix’s hips as he straddled me.“I’m busy.”

“Are you seriously gonna fuck in Clara’s backyard?”

“Damn right I am.”

“Classy.”Alastair joined the conversation.

“They’re having makeup sex!”Gray interjected.“We gotta give them privacy.”

“Do you have lube?”Raiden asked.“I can bring ya some.”
