Page 114 of Bellamy
Bellamy laughed at something Castor said, drawing my attention to him. My heart squeezed as his sapphire eyes settled on me.
I felt differently about love now.
“Good to see you again, Daichi,” Kyo told one of the dragons. “How’s my sister?”
“Ryoko is as spirited as ever,” Daichi responded with a lovesick look in his eyes. With his laid-back smile, dark hair, and chiseled face, he wasn’t only handsome but had a charm to him too. He came from the earth dragon clan and had married Kyo’s sister from the water clan. “King Tatsuya wishes he could be here, but—”
“I know.” Kyo nodded. “He’s the king. He can’t take the risk right now. Our people need him.”
“But he sent his best warriors,” Daichi said. “Those fallen angels are going down.”
“Don’t underestimate them,” Viktor, Warrin’s nephew, spoke in a thick Russian accent. He was the youngest prince but had chosen the life of a soldier. “They are strong.”
“My blade is stronger,” Daichi responded.
“Speaking of which,” Alastair interjected, “Lazarus will provide celestial blades to those of you who need them. It’s the only weapon that can kill an angel.”
“Winged bastards,” one of the twins said. “No offense to you Nephilim.”
Irritation prickled at my scalp as my gaze zeroed in on the ice dragon twins, Ivan and Efrem. I didn’t know which was which. They were identical, from the length of their blond hair to their muscle tone. However, one had a small scar that went up into his hairline.
“Last time I saw you, you were trying to kill us,” the one with the barely noticeable scar said to me. “You don’t seem as bad now though. Bell’s tamed you?”
“Tamed me?” As I spoke, glares bore into me from all sides. “How barbaric.”
“This one can’t be tamed,” Bellamy said, sliding an arm around me. “And I don’t want him to be.”
Scar-Twin smiled a little. “So you’re happy, I take it?”
“Very,” Bellamy answered.
That mademesmile.
“Good. You deserve it.”
Okay, maybe the dragon wasn’t as big of a rival as I feared. He seemed to care about Bellamy, sure, but he sat extremely close to his brother, hand on his thigh. That’s where most of his attention seemed to be. His desire too.
The non-scar twin smirked at me. “If you guys ever want a hot-as-hell foursome, hit us up.”
“Vanya,” the other twin told him as he chuckled.
“Nope.” Bellamy’s arm tightened around my waist. “I’m not into sharing these days. Find yourselves a different demon.”
“How does it feel to be in a room of so many ex-fuck-buddies?” Baxter asked Bellamy. “Me, the ice twins. You even fucked a few of Sirena’s warriors too, right?”
“No, he didn’t touch the females,” Alastair said. “I made damn sure of that when we were in the Caribbean. Last thing I needed was him angering Sirena and ruining our chances of an alliance.”
“Most of my warriors only favor females anyway,” Sirena said. “Very few enjoy the company of men.”
“You and Bellamy were together?” I asked Baxter. Yep, that bitterness returned. I couldn’t help it.
“Together? Eh. Not exactly. But we fucked.” He smirked. “Several times. Best sex of my life.”
Bellamy dropped his gaze to the floor. My bitterness faded upon seeing his guilt-ridden expression. He wasn’t proud of his past.
I wasn’t proud of mine either.
“Stop being rude,” a female Nephilim said, punching Baxter in the arm. She had dark skin and amber eyes. “You see he has a mate now. Everyone in this room can sense their bond.”
