Story: The Love of Priest 2

Priest loosened his grip on Britain, a light smile displaying on his face. "It's alright Catarina. This is my fiancée, Britain.Gioia, this is Caterina, our estate manager," Priest kindly introduced the two.

Britain shook Catarina's hand with a look of confusion still gracing her face. "Nice to meet you, Britain," Catarina greetedher as she beamed with her gorgeous smile. Her words were laced in the thickness of her Italian accent as she spoke.

"Pleasure is all mine," Britain returned the smile. "Can I have a word with Priest please?" she requested.

Catarina nodded her head with her smile still on her face. "Yes, I'll just go finish up the unpacking. Whenever you two are ready, we can go over everything to ensure you have a seamless transition. Welcome back, Mr. Justice," Catarina let out before smiling her way out of the foyer to resume her task.

Once she was a clear distance away from them, Britain turned on her heels to face Priest. "Estate manager?" She raised her brows at Priest as she questioned him in a hushed tone.

Priest nodded his head. "She came with the house," he revealed as he shrugged nonchalantly. "The previous owners had nothing but great things to say about her. I only got to know her for about a month before I had to head back to New York. She keeps the spot in order.”

"So, she's a one-woman staff?" Britain asked, still having trouble wrapping her head around having an estate manager.

Priest shook his head. "She comes equipped with a whole staff, cleaners, gardeners, chef, pool boy, whatever we need really," he explained.

"Does she live here?"

Priest chuckled as he pulled Britain close, craning down to apply a kiss on her lips. "No, she doesn't live here," he told her, bringing her to instant ease. "If it's a problem, we can just forget about the whole estate manager shit. I don't want you uncomfortable in your own house."

Britain shook her head. "It's fine, P. Besides, she knows the place better than I do, so her help will be appreciated," she assured him. It was going to take a lot of getting used to, having a stranger guide them through their home, but Britain couldn't deny that it was indeed a perk.

"I'm glad you said that because I really didn't want to be the one unpacking," he sighed in relief, causing her to laugh.

"I feel like we're in a low-budget Lifetime movie right now," Britain jested.

Eventually, the two ventured further into the home, and Britain finally caught all the gorgeous details of the white and stone-gray decor. There were soft shades of lavender incorporated into the home, which let Britain know that there was a bit of a feminine touch and Priest didn't do it all himself.

"Who helped you?" Britain asked as her hands graced the velvet lavender pillow that decorated the couch.

Priest’s hands sank into the pockets of his sweats before he shrugged his shoulders. "No one really," he stated. "When I left to go back to New York, the place wasn't even half of what it is now. This is the second time I've been in here since it's been completely done."

Britain shuffled her way over to him, wrapping her arms around his torso. Hiking her head up, she looked up at him with a smile on her face. "You did good, P." She puckered her lips for a kiss, and he obliged.

As they shared an intimate kiss in the center of the first communal area of the home, in came Catarina. Britain instantly pulled away from the kiss, causing Priest to laugh as he wiped her lips gloss from his lips. "You need anything, Catarina?" he asked.

Catarina took a moment to map out what she wanted to tell Priest in English instead of Italian out of respect for Britain. "I took the liberty of unpacking a few household items, but I'm unsure of exactly how Ms. Britain wants the rest of the things set up," she explained, awaiting immediate instructions from Britain.

Priest glanced over to Britain, waiting for her response as well. After all, she was the woman of the house, and he wantedher to set things up the best way for her. "Um," Britain hummed as she glanced around the home, noticing the abundance of boxes that were all labeled by her. "How about we unpack tomorrow? It's been a long week."

Catarina was a bit shocked by Britain's request to not only unpack tomorrow but also assist her in it as well. A much more comfortable smile made its way onto Catarina's face as she nodded her head. "That's okay with me. I will leave you two to it then. It was a pleasure to meet you, Ms. Britain, and great to have you back, Mr. Justice." She offered them polite goodbyes before she exited the home.

Now alone, Britain let out a deep sigh, a bit overwhelmed by all the different aspects of her new life. "She's so nice," she mentioned as she fawned over Catarina.

Priest nodded with a light laugh. "I'm glad you like her… and the place."

Together, the two plopped down on the plush white sofa, Britain instinctively gravitating to his hold. "I'm not too hard to please,” she shrugged.Priest agreed with her. Britain was very easy-going and adaptable, despite how much she feared taking risks.

"So, is it safe to say that this is home?" He flashed his debonair smile that easily captivated her.

She looked around the home once more, trying her best to imagine it without the slew of boxes and with her touch of decor mixed into what was already there. She nodded her head, causing his smile to widen.

"This is home,"she confirmed.

Chapter Thirteen

Stepping out of the Porsche, Jazzy leaned against the front of the vehicle with a smirk on her face. A few feet away, she could see Sylvia frantically going back and forth with Kaymen and J'Ru as both of her cars were being lifted onto a tow truck. Jazzy was enjoying seeing her mother lose what she cared so dearly about. Her reputation was definitely about to be smudged now that the entire neighborhood was witnessing her2020 Range Roverand her2019 Mercedes G Classget repossessed.

"J'Ru, are you fucking serious?!" Sylvia's eyes widened in anger. She was partially dressed in her robe with her hair pinned up in a silk scarf. It was the top of the morning, and what she thought was about to be a peaceful one turned into an embarrassing-ass shit show.
