Story: The Love of Priest 2
"Awe," Brea cooed as she playfully bumped hips with Britain. "You miss your man!"
Britain laughed as she rolled her eyes, trying to put on a front. "Just follow Cyro to the store. I would ride with you, but he's already giving me the stern eye." Britain pointed to Cyro, who was awaiting her.
Brea laughed as she nodded her head. Britain made sure she got into her car before making her way to the SUV. Britain let him know their next destination before using her phone to call Jazzy.
The call rang a few times before she answered. "Hey, we're still on for shopping, right?" Britain asked.
"Yeah, of course. I'm actually pulling in now. See you when you get here," Jazzy assured Britain.
Britain nodded her head before she and Jazzy shared their goodbyes and ended the phone call. Like clockwork, right after she ended her call with Jazzy, a phone call from Priest flashed across the screen of her phone. A light smile masked her face as she swiped her finger across the screen to answer the FaceTime call.
"Hey, you good?" Priest raised a brow. Like any other day, he was always concerned about her and wanted to make sure she was okay.
Her light smile remained on her face as she nodded her head. "Yeah, I'm fine," she assured him. "You okay? Did you eat today?” She raised a threatening brow.
Priest nodded his head with some light laughter as he shifted the screen to show the bowl of cereal he was currently having. Britain smacked her lips as she shook her head. "P, it's currently six in the evening over there, and you're having a bowl of cereal. You cannot be serious."
Priest shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly. "I skipped breakfast." He chuckled after informing her why he was shamelessly indulging in cereal so late in the day.
Amused by his nonchalant attitude, Britain laughed as she watched him continue to eat his cereal. "You enjoying yourself?" he asked, shifting the conversation elsewhere.
Britain nodded her head. "Went to lunch atLa Lealtáwith Brea, and now we're going shopping with Jazzy. You?" she asked.
Priest shrugged again. "I just handled some shit. You can come back now." An accomplished smile cast across his lips.
Britain raised a shocked brow. "Oh, word? You have everything smoothed over that fast? It's only been about five days." Britain held her hand up to show how many days it had been.
Swiping his tongue across his lips, he eyed her through the phone screen. "That’s all I really needed without you," he smoothly let out.
Trying her best not to show that he had charmed her with his smooth talk, she shook her head. "I will let you know when I'm ready to come back," she assured him.
Although it wasn't what Priest wanted to hear, he decided not to argue and simply nodded his head instead. "That's fair," he agreed. "Well, I'm gonna let you go enjoy your day. Stay safe. I love you."
"I love you too," Britain declared. "But before you go, could you let me know how you happened to handle it so quickly?"
"You put that pressure on me," he admitted as he shrugged his shoulders. "Couldn't have you gone for too long, so I worked some shit out. Can't really discuss it over the phone. I'll let you know when you get back." He eyed her with a smug smirk.
Britain pursed her lips, trying her best not to break into a full smile. "I'll see you soon.”
"How soon?" He raised one of his thick brows as a smile spread along his face.
"I'll let it be a surprise," Britain taunted.
He chuckled with a nod of his head. "Heard'ju."
The two shared their goodbyes before the phone call ended. Moments later, Cyro halted the car at the chic boutique Jazzy suggested. As always, he stepped out, assisting her out of the car. Brea stepped out of her vehicle as well, making sure to pay the parking meter to prevent her car from being ticketed.
Together, the ladies entered the boutique, various pieces already catching their eyes. She had requested that Cyro not follow her inside. She just didn't want to draw any unwanted attention to herself.
"How come I never knew about this spot?" Brea asked as she held a silk blouse up to her chest to see if it would look nice on her.
Britain took another look around, admiring the eclectic and luxurious style the boutique offered. It carried a few custom pieces along with a mix of designer shoes, handbags, and clothing. Jazzy was a regular at the boutique, which was why she suggested it in the first place. "Apparently, it's very exclusive," Britain whispered to her sister as a salesgirl began striding toward them with a peppy smile.
The sisters were greeted by the woman, who assured them that she was there to assist them in any way. "We're actuallymeeting someone. She said she was here already," Britain informed her, but she hadn’t been able to spot Jazzy in the front area of the boutique.
"Oh, you must be meeting Jazzlyn, " the woman smiled. "She already had her pieces pulled for her before she got here, so she's getting fitted now.Feel free to enjoy some sparkling water and look around for yourself while you wait for her." Britain and Brea both thanked the woman before continuing to roam the store.
"So, I'm assuming Jazzlyn doesn't get the concept of group shopping? She had her items pre-selected." Brea raised her brow with a chortle streaming out of her while she skimmed through the cocktail gowns on display.
