Story: The Love of Priest 2

The two shared a brief handshake before Avery did the same with J'Ru and Kaymen. Now that introductions were out of the way, J'Ru went ahead and shut the door to Avery's office so they could have some privacy.

"You know, I actually don't do consultations without an appointment," Avery advised them as she folded her arms across her chest.

Jazzy nodded her head, understanding Avery's rules. "I think you should be willing to make an exception since we have a lot to offer," she suggested and shrugged her shoulders.

Avery was a bit put off by Jazzy. With her head tilted slightly, Avery furrowed her brows. "Why should I make an exception or even do business with you when you're fucking my husband?" Avery questioned Jazzy as she reached for a framed photo on her desk, turning it around to display a family portrait of herself, her daughter Dreux, and none other thanCameron Combs.

A silence circulated the room as Jazzy eyed the portrait, completely stunned. Kaymen and J'Ru stood behind her, exchanging confused glances with each other. They had come for business, not to hear the wife of the nigga Jazzy was dealing with confront her for being a mistress. Quite frankly, that was just way too much information for them.

Jazzy and Taylor definitely had their suspicions about Cameron sleeping with Avery when they saw her leaving his office, but Jazzy never thought she was his wife. Because she had just learned about Cameron being married when he and Britain had their run-in at the boutique, there was no way in hell Jazzy would have ever thought to make the connection. Here she was thinking she would be sitting before Avery with the utmost confidence to get her on board with their business, only for her personal business to be outed blatantly.

Jazzy pursed her lips as she shifted her eyes from the portrait to Avery, whose brown orbs were searing into Jazzlyn as she awaited a response. Avery was fully aware of what Cameron had going on with Jazzy. She had even heard them fucking in his office with her own two ears. This wasn't the first case of Cameron’s infidelity she dealt with; however, this one was the most secretive. When it came to Jazzy, Cameron actually did the work to keep things under wraps. By the time Avery found out about Jazzlyn, the two had been messing around for months. That was much longer than all the other women Avery confronted Cameron about.

Jazzy flipped her hair over her shoulder as she matched Avery's eye contact. "You think I'd be sitting in your office right now if I knew he was your husband?" she questioned.

Avery's shoulders motioned in a shrug. "Depends on how bold you are," she stated with a scowl masking her face.

"I'm bold," Jazzlyn asserted. "Not disrespectful.”

Jazzlyn looked over her shoulder at both Kaymen and J'Ru, who were trying to wrap their heads around the situation. Internally, she felt so much shame for all of this being exposed right in their faces, but she couldn't sulk in those feelings. At the end of the day, she came for business, and something told Jazzy that despite the fact that Avery was checking her for fucking her husband, she was still going to walk out of this office with a victory.

"Can you guys excuse us? We have some shit that needs to be cleared up," Jazzy requested for J'Ru and Kaymen to step out.

The men nodded their heads before exiting the office and shutting the door behind them. Their exit gave Avery and Jazzy the privacy they needed so they could openly discuss the dick they had been sharing. "I assume you have questions," Jazzy said to Avery while leaning back in her seat.

Avery nodded her head. "You didn't know about me, huh?"

Jazzy shook her head. "He told me had been single for years. To be frank, he's actually the one who gave me your card. I don't think he ever thought we would be having this conversation." A sly chuckle aired out of her.

"Of course he gave you my card," Avery exhaled a deep breath as she leaned her head back against her seat. "That's just fucking like him."

Jazzy could hear the pain in Avery's tone. It was evident that she wasn't the first woman Avery confronted. Avery sounded defeated and out of any energy to fuss, cry, or be in denial by solely blaming Jazzy. Now this far into a marriage withCameron, Avery knew who she was dealing with. The only element of surprise left was the matter of who else was he fucking. "How serious did you two get?" Avery raised a brow.

"Nothing serious," Jazzy declared with a shake of her head. "I wasn't looking to be loved by someone, nor was I seeking a man. It was casual fucking… at least on my part," Jazzlyn revealed, being openly honest with Avery.

Hearing Jazzlyn describe her relationship with Cameron as casual fucking made her stomach churn. It only made her feel more disposable and less loved. Cameron was willing to sacrifice years of marriage and their daughter, Dreux, over some casual sex. "And how old are you?" Avery asked Jazzy.

"I'm twenty," Jazzlyn responded.

From the other side of the desk, Jazzy watched Avery run her fingers through her blunt cut shoulder length bob in frustration. It was all beginning to make sense to Avery. The sly comments Cameron had been making lately about her age. His suggestion that she wear less conservative attire and show more skin. He even went as far as telling Avery that she should try longer hair instead of her usual bob hairstyle. It was evident by the look of Jazzy's style and her age that Cameron was slowly trying to morph Avery into her because she was who he found attractive, not Avery.

"I wasn't aware of you. He sold himself to me as if he were a bachelor who was unmarried and had no children," Jazzy further explained. "I recently learned he was married, like a week ago, but again, I didn't know his accountant was also his wife."

Avery leaned up in her seat. "How'd you find out he was married?" she asked.

Jazzy didn't want to divulge Britain's business with Cameron's current wife. It wasn't her story to tell. "I ran into him with a friend of mine, and she mentioned it while talking tohim. Of course, he was a coward about it, but I expected that. He doesn't owe me any loyalty with the situation we had. However, I don't appreciate how bad of a spot he put me in. I don't get down with married men. I'm so much more than a dirty little mistress, and soon he will realize that.”

Jazzy meant every word she said about being Cameron's karma. Her first thought was to have him touched just because she had the means and connections to do so, but sitting across from Avery at this very moment had other plans brewing in her mind.

"You can't prove anything to a man with as much arrogance as Cameron." Avery shook her head, indicating that Jazzy had a long road ahead of her.

"Sounds like you been through this before," Jazzy pointed out, noticing how quickly Avery's hurt subsided.

A bitter chuckle aired out of Avery as she picked up the family portrait she had on display. "You are one of many. I have to admit, you have been the youngest yet most respectful out of the other women he's dealt with." Avery shifted her gaze from the picture to Jazzy.

"I'm hoping you'll take me as your sign to get you and your daughter the fuck away from him," she encouraged Avery. It was evident that Avery had been through the wringer with Cameron.

The way Cameron used to act when he and Jazzy first met began to make sense to Jazzy. His overly dominant and obsessive behavior stemmed from his wife not only knowing about all the trifling shit he had going on but accepting it as well. Avery had fallen madly in love with a facade he portrayed to her for years. Her love for him and the hope she had of keeping the family she created alongside him under one roof kept her fighting to see if she could get the Cameron she fell in love with back. Cameron manipulated her and took complete control of her life. He bound her to only him, isolating her from her familyand friends. He had the life he wanted Avery to live plotted out in his mind since the day he got on one knee and proposed to her.
