Story: The Love of Priest 2

"You think we forgave him?" Priest screwed up his face in disbelief. "You out of your fucking mind. Me and Kaymen just see the bigger fucking picture."

"You need to learn how to focus, yo. We’re doing this for a reason. Stop losing sight of that," Kaymen added, causing J'Ru to roll his eyes slyly.

Crudely, J'Ru dismissed both of them. "I'll appreciate it when you niggas stop telling me what I need to do. If I lost sight of the vision, those niggas would've been dead on the concrete." J'Ru always had a hard time dealing with the way Kaymen and Priest moved. They were his brothers, and he could attest to how undeniably smart they were, but he just couldn't stand being the bigger person all the damn time. Sometimes, niggas needed to be put in their place, and J'Ru for damn sure felt like Leonard and June needed to be knocked off their little high horse.Priest decided not to press the issue since he knew how quickly J'Ru could go from zero to a hundred.

"Where to?" Cyro asked from the front seat of the SUV.

"The penthouse," Priest responded as he reached over, taking another burner cell from Kaymen's hold.Cyro nodded before proceeding in the direction of the penthouse.

Priest turned the burner cell on, watching it light up. Once it powered up, he navigated to the contacts where a single number was programmed into the device. Kaymen and J'Ru remained silent, waiting for Priest to fulfill the end of their calculated plan.

The call rang before being answered by none other than Daniel Hernandez, the prosecutor assigned to Priest's trial."Congrats, Hernandez. You just landed the biggest fucking case of your life," Priest chuckled.

"You killed Leila?" Hernandez gritted from the other end of the call.

"Woah," Priest let out as if he were appalled. "That's a heavy fucking accusation. You know better than that."

"Then what do you want?" He cut straight to the chase.

Priest chuckled once more. "I made it easy for you. License plate JMV 9307, Lamborghini. Making its way out of Harlem right now," Priest told him with a smug smirk.

Priest could hear Daniel let out a heavy breath. "What the fuck do you want, Justice?!" he jeered venomously, aware that Priest wasn’t about to drop the dime without getting something in return.

"Make my problems disappear, Daniel. It’s in everyone’s best interest if I’m a free man," Priest bargained.

"And if I don't?" Daniel challenged.

Priest shrugged his broad shoulders. "We'll see how quick the media eats up those wire transfers from you to that massage parlor you frequent. Bill won't be the only one going down in state history as a sick and perverted fuck."

His threats caused Daniel's chest to tighten. After Bill killed himself for the massage parlor scandal, Daniel thought he had covered his tracks pretty well. He was never mentioned in the media for it. Bill had promised that he had cut all loose ends. How the fuck did Priest get ahold of information like that?

"You got 24 hours, Hernandez. Use it wisely. I haveThe Timeson fucking speed dial," Priest warned him before ending the call.

Once finished, Priest handed the cell back to Kaymen so he could properly dispose of it. The three men glanced at each other before accomplished smirks made their way onto their faces. "Tolove, to family, to loyalty!" J'Ru chanted, causing Kaymen and Priest to laugh.

Together, the three cheered for their chant. "To Priest!" J'Ru and Kaymen both shouted as they clapped their hands loudly to congratulate him for accomplishing the mission.

Priest still remained two steps ahead.

TRIBECA, NEW YORK

At the sound of the thick steel doors of the elevator parting, Britain’s head jolted up. The text from Priest an hour ago was enough to settle her churning stomach and bring her to ease. She still wanted to gripe and groan at him—as she should—but she was calm knowing that he and the guys were okay and unharmed.

Priest, Kaymen and J'Ru waded into the penthouse, facing the crude and harsh glares from the women."Kaymen, I should fucking kill you!" Jadey hissed as she marched toward him.

Priest and J'Ru immediately cleared the way, allowing Jadey to have clear access to Kaymen. "I gave you simple instructions: stay in the fucking Hamptons," Kaymen sighed as he pinched the bridge of his nose.

"Yeah, that was before I saw you in the background of the fucking mayor getting her brains blown out," Jadey seethed in frustration.

Kaymen exhaled another heavy sigh before grabbing ahold of her hand. "Yo, we out," he announced with a smack of his lips. "Ru and P, I'll hit you later," he told the guys as he dragged Jadey off toward the elevator.

Britain couldn't help but to let out a laugh. Jadey sure knew how to drive Kaymen's chill ass up the wall. "If you ever ignore my calls again, Kaymen, I'll push your ass off the BrooklynBridge myself!" was the last thing they heard from Jadey as the elevator doors shut.

J'Ru was in the midst of laughing at Kaymen's torture when he was met with the scolding eye of Taylor. "Who the fuck you call yourself having dinner for two with tomorrow night, J'Ru?!" She pointed her long acrylic nail in his face as her curvy stature stood stern before him.

The amusement on J'Ru's face quickly disappeared as his expression went bleak. "Well, that's my cue," J'Ru muttered as he dragged Taylor along.

"Good luck with that!" Jazzy called out behind them.
