Story: Blood Rains Down

I watched as his pupils shifted into slits, his canines elongating into razor sharp points then fell back onto his length as shadows detonated from my body.

“I love you,” I whispered, staring into eyes that were still every bit him—every bit of the man I needed like oxygen. Violettendrils of magic sprang from him at the sound of my words, cracking like a thunderstorm in my darkness as he slammed his lips onto mine.

We didn’t have to hide anymore.

Didn’t have to fear our power.

My body shuddered with each deep, possessive thrust he drove into me. He was pushing me to the edge and I was running for it, gasping as I sprinted for that cliff. My head fell back, lips parting in a silent scream of rapture as I rolled my hips, taking him even deeper as my walls clenched around his thick length.

Landers groaned, his fingers digging into the flesh of my hips hard enough to bruise. I reveled in the power flowing from us, in the pure desire that pulsed from him. In the way he was coming undone beneath me.

“Landers,” I panted, my movements growing more frantic as I chased my release. “I’m so close . . .”

His fingers clasped around the back of my neck, keeping my head steady as whimpers of pleasure echoed from my lips, my inner muscles fluttering around him.

Landers cursed under his breath, his hips slamming into mine with renewed vigor. “That’s it, my Queen,” he growled. “Let go. Come for me.”

His words were my undoing.

Ecstasy exploded through me, my body clenching around him as wave after wave of overwhelming pleasure crashed into every fiber of my being. He did not stop as my orgasm ripped through every vein, every cell in my body. It only seemed to add to the primal hunger that flowed from him.

Landers buried his head into my neck and a gasp flew from my mouth, followed by a guttural moan of pure euphoria as his teeth sunk into my throat. Wings detonated from my back from the sensation, unbridled pleasure pulsating from my core as his hands slid around my shoulders to keep himself rooted insideof me—to keep me from falling off the edge of the universe into oblivion.

His lips brushed the shell of my ear as blood trickled over my collarbone. “Again, Darkness,” he rasped, his breath hot against my skin, strained with the effort of holding back his own release. “Come for your King.”

My core instantly fluttered at his words, flexing around him as jolts of electricity skittered down my spine.

Never had I felt such intrinsic pleasure as the moment my release poured over him, my body succumbing to every sensation flooding my system. My heart was bursting, threatening to scream as every ounce of love I had for him rose to the surface and leaked down my face.

I never wanted to know what it felt like to be without him.

Now that I had tasted him, had known how it felt to be loved by him, I would never let him go.

“I love you, Landers,” I said, locking my fingers in his hair and catching his gaze. “I love you.”

His mouth crashed against mine with bruising force, as if those words had cracked something in him—had freed him of the belief that he was not worthy of that love.

But he was.

My Gods he was.

With a final thrust I felt him reach his own release and I cradled his head between my breasts as a thunderous groan fell from his lips. His arms wrapped around my waist, pulling me so tightly against him as if he could forge our bodies into one.

The muscles across his body flexed as he panted into my skin, aftershocks of his pleasure still rippling through him. His lips brushed over my chest, planting small kisses over my skin as he raised his head to meet my gaze. His pupils slowly expanded into their usual circles as a satisfied smile slipped onto his lips.

His gaze flitted to my neck, a deep crease forming between his brows as his fingers gently brushed over the bite he had left puncturing my skin.

“Did I hurt you?” he asked softly, his hand trailing up the remainder of my neck as he brought his eyes back to mine.

I smiled, letting my fingers catch in his hair and run through it before resting them at the base of his neck. “No. It felt . . .reallygood actually.”

He lifted a brow, amusement replacing the unease in his features.

“In that case,” he started, leaning down and brushing his lips over the bite as his hands fell to my hips. “I think I will sink my teeth into your beautiful thighs next.”

His fingers traced delicately over the skin on my inner thigh and my body shuddered, goosebumps rising across my flesh.

A smug smile curled his lips, knowing what those words did to me as I lifted myself from his lap and strode toward our clothes strewn around us. A chill ran down my spine from the loss of his warming touch, the winter air nipping at my skin as I threw his clothes over to him and pushed into my leathers as fast as I could.
