Story: Abandoned Oaths
She sucked in a breath. “Good to know.”
If she thought this was a game, me teasing her to see if she broke, she was mistaken. I was the team lead and should know better. I was responsible for the outcome of this mission just as much as she was.
The problem was I didn’t care.
I wanted her, and she wanted me. That was clear from the way her breath caught as she pressed her chest against mine.
I closed the gap, claiming her lips with my own.
She sighed into me, bringing her arms up to wrap around my shoulders.
It wasn’t enough. I slid my hands onto her waist, pulling her even closer. Now that we’d broken the seal, nothing could stop us.
Her fingers gripped the back of my neck before pushing into my hair, her nails leaving a path that ignited a flame in me.
I gripped her ass and squeezed, earning a moan and tug of my hair. I claimed her mouth. For right now, there was no one else. There was no mission. No team. No Dias. Just us.
If a stolen moment was all I’d get, then I would savor it.
She moaned, then slid her tonged over my bottom lip, urging me to let her in. So I did. She could have it all, all of me. My hands slipped to her hips, kneading and working up the sides of her body. I sucked her until she whimpered, melting into me.
“Javi,” she breathed my name.
I growled against her neck. She pulled back enough to make me look at her.
“I messed around with Cruz.”
I had a suspicion, but I didn’t care. “Okay.”
“I’ve thought about kissing Marco.”
Her gaze was challenging. She wanted me to turn her away. She thought I had a breaking point. I did, but it wasn’t my brothers. “Okay.”
“And Derek.”
I nodded and leaned back in to reclaim her neck, but she put her hand on my chest.
“That doesn’t bother you?”
“No.” I stared down at her so she knew I was being honest. Hopefully, we wouldn’t have to repeat this conversation. “Monogamy isn’t really my thing. Or any of ours.”
Her brows rose. “You’ve all been with the same woman before?”
“We are shifters,” I pointed out.
“Yeah, but not everyone is okay with that. I didn’t take you four as the sharing types.”
“We’re brothers. We want to stay together. We know what that means.”
Her eyes lowered.
“Are you not okay with it?” I asked.
When she finally met my gaze, she swallowed. “I’ve never been in a position to consider it.”
I took a step back, not wanting to push her.
Her hands shot up and caught mine. “I don’t date, Javi.”
