“I have not!” she protests. “We should head out, get back to the hotel.”
“Nope, I’m not letting you change the subject,” I say. “Tell us what’s in the bag.”
She goes silent for a minute, a range of emotions passing over her eyes. Finally, she lets out a breath and opens her mouth to speak. “Well, I have this—”
“Will you come play basketball with us?” The little boy from earlier, Brayden, shows up in front of us. “You’re tall so you can help us beat the bigger kids.”
I laugh. Over on the court, a group of teens is playing keep-away against some younger kids.
Kendall was just about to tell us what is so important about her purse, but Brayden’s eyes are wide and hopeful.
“Sure, kid. You guys in?”
Tanner and Trace nod, and we follow Brayden to the court. Kendall watches from the sideline as we play a pickup game. We take it easy on the teens, but we help the younger kids score some points, which makes them giggle and slap hands like they’re having the most fun in the world.
I meet Kendall’s eyes, and she smiles. Tanner and Trace step in front of me, blocking her view.
“So we’re telling her about the non-profit tonight, right?”
I nod, catching a glimpse of Kendall between their shoulders.
“Oh, absolutely. We need to get this off the ground as soon as possible.”
With that plan made, we go back to our basketball game. With our help, the kids beat the teens, and both sides celebrate. Even Kendall joins in, giving hugs all around.
We’re definitely telling her about the non-profit so she can continue to do good things for these kids. But we should also tell her that we’re supposed to leave for New York tomorrow. I don’t want to give her such good news followed by bad news, but I know we have to.
We have tonight, though. Maybe we don’t need to tell her until tomorrow. Then we can have one more night of fun before we leave.
By the time we tell her, we’ll hopefully find the words to let her know just how much she means to us.
And how much we don’t want to leave Boone if it means leaving her curvy goodness.

Istare at my reflection in the mirror and will the smile to leave my face. It’s not that I don’t want to be happy, it’s that I don’t want tolookso happy. I’m going to see Trudy today. If I show up with a huge grin, she’ll know something up. I want to tell her everything, but I want to do it on my terms.
No matter how hard I try, I can’t suppress my giddiness. Yesterday was the most amazing day. Not just our trip to the zoo, but everything that came after, too.
The entire time we walked around the Sunshine Program campus, I clutched my purse. I was waiting for the right time to ask the guys to look at my business plan and help me secure donors for my non-profit. The more we walked, the less likely it seemed that I’d ever have a chance to talk with them. I’d resolved to wait until today to do it when Tag called me out for holding my purse so tight.
I’m surprised they noticed. I didn’t think they paid that much attention to me.
Of course, Brayden had to interrupt me right before I spilled my soul. Not that I can fault the kid. He and the other kids had a blast playing basketball with some real adults. I’ll have to get some volunteers to join in their games every once in a while.
After the basketball game, we went back to the hotel. Seeing them sweat on the court made me extra excited to get them into bed. I could tell by the hard cocks they tried to hide that they were looking forward to our hotel-room fun too. Which is why I was surprised when they sat down on the couch, fully clothed.
My stomach flutters at the memory. I had been so sure I was about to get the boot. I didn’t know what I did to upset them, but my brain told me they were kicking me out for good.
Instead, they handed me some paperwork. They set up a non-profit in my name!
“You have to give it a name and come up with a complete business plan,” Tanner said. “But it’s all yours. The funding is there. You’ll be able to run it however you want.”
I immediately pulled my business plan from my bag. “I’ve been waiting all day to show you this! I was going to ask you to help me find donors. I never thought you guys would be the ones to contribute.”
They smiled and said they wanted to see me do good things. After we celebrated with a bottle of champagne, we retreated to one of the bedrooms and stayed there until morning.
