Page 29 of 3 Daddies to Go
I wipe my sweaty palms against my skirt, smoothing out a few residual wrinkles. Satisfied with my appearance, I lift my knuckles to the door and knock.
Footsteps sound on the other side, and then Tanner opens the door. My jaw nearly drops when I see him. He’s wearing tight jeans and an even tighter shirt. If I were any other girl, I’d probably run my fingers along the accentuated lines of his abs.
It should be illegal for one man to be this attractive.
Then, to make matters worse, Trace and Tag appear in the doorway looking every bit as touchable as Tanner.
Heat courses through my body. Do they have any idea what they’re doing to me?
“Do you want to come in?” Tanner asks, his voice low and gravely.
I nod, unable to trust my voice, and enter a large living room with a kitchen attached. There are three doors off to the side.
I turn to face Tanner. “You have this whole place to yourself?”
He chuckles, but it doesn’t feel patronizing. It’s like he finds me endearing. I’m not used to that kind of laughter. My heart swells, and my body tingles.
“It’s a suite with three bedrooms,” Tanner explains. I didn’t know those existed, let alone here in Boone. Then again, this hotel doesn’t belong in town. It’s like it fell through a black hole and wound up here.
Tanner’s sculpted chest is right at my eye level. I watch as it lifts and falls with each of his steady breaths. What would my head feel like against those hard muscles?
I turn and face the huge windows instead, not wanting the guys to read my thoughts. I gasp at the view.
“I’ve never seen Boone look so beautiful!” I can see the entire town from up here. I see my home, a few blocks away. The church where Trudy got married is in the opposite direction, as is the reception hall. I pull out my phone to snap a picture, but it won’t do this view justice.
“It’s a great view,” Tag says. “Almost as great as New York.”
I turn back to face them. All three men stare at me, not the view outside the windows. I gulp. Are they as turned on as I am right now?
Judging by the strain in their pants, I’d say they are. My heart starts to race. I’m inexperienced, so I don’t know what to expect. Am I reading the signals right?
“Maybe we should, um …”
The guys look at me with those sultry blue eyes of theirs. What was I going to say? Right, I was going to suggest we head to the center of town. There’s a 9/11 memorial commemorating the two townsfolk who lost their lives at the World Trade Center. Since the guys live in New York, I thought they might like to see it. The memorial is located in a large park just a block from this hotel. I thought maybe we could pick up some food and head over there.
It doesn’t look like they want to see the memorial, though.
“Can I offer you a drink?” Tanner asks. He gestures to a fully stocked bar. This hotel room is bigger than my apartment! I wonder how much a place like this runs. It’s definitely out of my budget, but if Tanner is a CEO, it’s probably nothing for him.
“Yeah, sure.”
“What’s your poison?”
“Surprise me.”
Tanner grins.
“That’s a brave choice, Kendall.”
“I’m sure you’ll come through.”
While he heads to the bar, Tag gestures for me to take a seat on the couch.
“Did you have a good night after yesterday’s brunch?”
“It wasn’t bad. I just went home and watched TV.”
“What did you watch?”
