Trace nods. “It’s not like it would be hard for us. We could easily get donors, and anything else we can fund ourselves. It’ll be a drop in the bucket.”

Being billionaires means that people treat us differently because they want something. Kendall never asked us to help her. I doubt she ever would. That’s what makes me want to do this even more.

Tanner pulls out his phone. “I can make a call and get the ball rolling. What do you guys think?”

“Do it. Have them call my assistant to work out the details on my end.”

“Yeah, same. I’ll do whatever they need.”

We shake on it, just like we do for any business arrangement. The three of us work for different companies, but we do a lot of deals between us. We prefer working with people we trust, so if I need a banker, I call Tanner. If I need a new website, I call Trace. If they need real estate, they call me. We don’t just share women, we share business, too.

Tanner steps into his room to talk to his investors. They’re in the middle of that buyout of Sunshine Cupcakes, but I doubt that’ll affect anything. Tanner is the CEO, so he can do pretty much whatever he wants. Besides, donating to a non-profit like this looks really good for the company. We’ll probably also do some publicity for the new non-profit. It might get Kendall some more donations as well.

Tanner comes back in and gives us a thumbs up. “We just need Kendall to come up with a name and file some paperwork, but we’re in business!”

We high-five each other with huge smiles on our faces. I can’t wait to tell Kendall.

“I hope she’s not mad,” I say. “She didn’t ask us to help her.”

Trace shakes his head. “She might not want to accept the help, but I don’t think she’ll be mad that we did this.”

“I hope so.”

Someone knocks on the door. It has to be Kendall, so I leap up to answer the door. She stands on the other side in a sexy skirt and a button-down shirt. I can’t wait to destroy that shirt.

She looks a little down, so I pull her in for a kiss.

“Hey,” I say when we pull apart. “We’re glad you came.”

Tanner and Trace appear behind me. They each go in for their own taste of her beautiful, plump lips.

“Thanks for inviting me,” Kendall says shyly. A slight blush forms on her cheeks. “It’s been a long day.”

We step aside so she can come into the room.

“Is everything okay?”

Kendall nods halfheartedly.

“Just a hard day volunteering is all.”

I put my hand on her back and guide her towards the couch. “Tell us about it. Do you want a drink?”

She eyes the beers on the table.

“I’ll have what y’all are having.”

Tanner grabs another beer from the fridge and pops the top before handing it over to her. Kendall takes a long swig before collapsing onto the couch.

“Today I found out that one of the kids at the program might have to move. He was really upset about it, worried he’d lose all his friends. I reassured him that I’d help the kids stay in touch, but I know how it goes. I’m hoping he’ll make new friends, but he’s really shy.”

I lock eyes with Tanner, who shakes his head. We’ve started the ball rolling, but it’s too soon to tell Kendall. I’m positive it’ll all work out, but just in case it doesn’t, I don’t want to disappoint her. She’d be heartbroken if we got her hopes up and then the whole thing fell through.

Kendall sighs and takes another sip of beer.

“I’m sorry, I’m sure you don’t want to hear me rant about the injustices of the world.”

Trace squeezes her hand, and I put an arm around her shoulder.
