CHAPTER 7
RIVER
It’s only the first week of class, and Samantha has slept at our house three times. Nate has been ravenous since moving day. The day we almost… Well, I’m not sure what almost happened, but it was something , a shift in our relationship.
Is he into me?
I still can’t tell.
Nate is hot and cold. His moods fluctuate by the second. One minute, I think he likes me. The next, he has a mental breakdown and starts fucking any girl in sight. At least our deal prevents him from being reckless.
Nate has spent all his free time buried in Samantha. We don’t speak about that day. Nate wouldn’t acknowledge it even if I did.
As we walk into the Law and Ethics lecture hall, my eyes snap to the front of the room. Our new professor looks under thirty, with a face that could grace the cover of a magazine.
Nate slips into the last row and sits midway down the aisle. I occupy the space beside him and glance up at the ceiling, thanking God for creating the man standing at the podium.
Professor Oliver West.
His name is written on the whiteboard behind him. He even has nice handwriting.
Professor West wears a black suit and a gold tie that pairs well with his tanned skin. I bet he looks good on his knees and would look even better with the tie binding his wrists.
The more I gawk at him, the more I realize my Law and Ethics professor looks… familiar. But why? I can’t think of any reason we would have met. He’s an adjunct professor filling in for a tenured professor on leave for medical reasons.
Professor Addison normally teaches this class and has done so for over a decade. Yet, when I checked my class schedule online last week, it had changed to Professor West.
Maybe he’s a guest lecturer?
I have never seen him on campus. And with a face and body like his, I would have noticed him.
My thoughts drift to me on top of him, pressing down on the hard planes of his body. I grin like a fool as my dirty fantasy plays out in my mind. Nate is usually the star of all my dreams. But I have to forget about him. Obsessing over Nate will only lead to an early grave.
Nate taps my arm and whispers, “What are you smiling about?”
“Nothing,” I lie and let the smile slip from my lips.
“Bullshit,” he mutters. “You’ve been acting weird lately.”
“No, I haven’t.”
We go back and forth, me telling Nate that everything is fine until a sexy voice interrupts our conversation.
“Is there a problem?”
I follow the voice and spot Professor West glaring at us. My dirty professor’s plump lips part in disapproval, and all I can think about is how they would feel wrapped around my cock.
Fuck, I need to be with a man. Just once. To see if I like it. Before I blow up my life, I need to know if it’s worth obsessing over men.
“Um, no problem, professor,” I choke out, cheeks flaming with heat as everyone stares. “Please continue.”
He reviews the syllabus and the list of cases we will cover during the semester. Some students interrupt to ask questions. Most people keep their heads down and take notes on laptops or tablets. I prefer pen and paper, so I write down the few cases Professor West scribbles on the whiteboard.
I have no intention of attending law school. Everything I learn in this class serves no purpose. I’m here to keep Nate on track and ensure he doesn’t fall behind in his classes. His mind tends to wander when left unattended.
Throughout the class, I will my dick to behave. Every time Professor West turns around to write something on the whiteboard, my cock jerks. I should have worn jeans and a longer shirt—something to hide my raging boner.
“You must post the first assignment by midnight on Sunday to get credit,” Professor West tells the class, hands on his narrow hips.
His voice.
His face.
Those legs.
Fuck . It’s him .
I know why he looks so familiar. But how can this be? He’s a lawyer, for fuck’s sake. Why on earth would Professor West need to sell his ass online for money?
Yet, as he shoves his shirtsleeves to his elbows, I can’t unsee the ink marring his muscular forearms. Professor West is Baby Face, my favorite camboy.
