I wrap my fingers around hers, and I look to my best friend.

He dips his chin. “Take good care of her.”

I nod. “I promise.”

Joe looks between us, then he lifts a hand to my shoulder. “Welcome to the family, son.”

A laugh pops out of Kendra.

I roll my eyes. “Go sit down.”

He grins. “Also, I lied. There’s a third person I love just as much as I love you two.”

Kendra tilts her head, then we both watch as Joe goes to the front row. And sits next to Jessie.

Leaning back in his chair, he puts his arm around her shoulders, pulls her into his side, and presses a fucking kiss to my sister’s temple.

She blushes. But she doesn’t pull away. Instead, she rests her hand on his thigh.

I narrow my eyes.

Joe smirks at me.

And when I think about it.

When I really think about it.

I realize they’re perfect.

I turn back to my soon-to-be wife. And the smile on her face… it’s all I need.

Kendra squeezes my fingers.

I squeeze hers back. “Want to get married?”

She lifts her brows. “Now?”

My mouth pulls into a grin. “Now’s good for me.”

Happiness radiates off her as she keeps smiling. “Now works.”
