Page 73 of Illicit Games
Switching his sweats for a black shirt with the top two buttons undone and dark blue denim jeans, Kian stalks my way.
My pulse skyrockets with each step he takes.
I’m still rooted to the same spot when he invades my personal space. The tiny space in the open placket of his shirt provides me a sinful view of the two middle letters of my name over the rainbow.
Roaming my gaze up his throat and to his handsome face, I meet his intense eyes. They are darkly running all over me, raising goosebumps on my flesh. A shudder slithers down my spine when he brings his large palm to rest right above my ass, touching my skin left exposed because of halter style of the dress.
“You look so fucking sexy, little siren,” he praises in a guttural voice. My fingers fly to his biceps as he dips his mouth and licks my collarbone. Biting over my pounding pulse, he sucks and kisses, stopping near my ear. “I wanna eat your pussy so bad. It’s been too many hours since I licked it.”
He utters it as if he didn’t spend hours between my thighs in the car on the way to the airport and then on the plane until I passed out. It was his tongue lapping at my slit that had woken me up later too.
He loves eating me out like it’s his religion. Like he needs it for sustenance.
It’s filthy, hot, and divine.
I’ve learned not to stop or disturb him. Otherwise, he’ll only work me harder and longer.
“Please,” I beg, so goddamn turned on. “Taste me.”
“If I taste you, I won’t be able to stop,” he heaves, pulling away. “I need to feed you first.”
“I’m hungry for you.”
His nostrils flare. “Don’t play with fire, Iris.”
“I can’t help that you turn me on.”
“Fuck, baby.” Capturing my lips in a ravenous kiss, he whispers, “I don’t want to attack you like an animal on the day you’re completely mine. We’ve done everything backward and that stops now. I want to wine and dine my beautiful girlfriend before I make love to her. So, no making me lose control, yeah?”
He called me his girlfriend!
For the first time.
I was completely unprepared to hear it from him. I think I’ve died and gone to heaven.
There’s a vulnerability and newness in his deep voice, like he hasn’t said it to anyone. I know it’s true because he doesn’t date, which is why it feels even more meaningful. Like I’ve been given a gift that nobody besides me will ever have.
Every possessive claim of his makes me fall a little deeper for him.
“Okay, I won’t.”
“Good girl.” His dimples make an appearance as he grins. “Can I take you on a date now?”
I grin back. “Yeah, please.”
Trailing a hand down my arm, he laces his fingers through mine and guides me outside to the beautiful deck. Except for our table, the rest of the furniture is gone. The sun is shining bright without feeling sweltering, while a cool breeze from the lake teases my skin pleasantly.
Kian pulls out my chair and I take a seat. I shiver when his fingertips graze my shoulder as he tucks me in. As he rounds to the chair across from me, I study the table. It’s visible how much thought and effort he’s put into it.
Besides the rose centerpiece, there are strawberry-scented pillar candles and fine silverware that match the table runner. He’s even sprinkled rose petals. A silver cloche covers our meal, but I can smell the delicious aroma of the food.
My heart threatens to burst from love. Tears sting my eyes as I hold them at bay.
I’ve never earned such devotion. Or been pampered so much.
“This is what you were doing,” I murmur, emotions clogging my throat as I stare into his beautiful gaze. “While I was asleep.”
“I wanted to do something special for you.” Reaching across the round table, he holds my hand and caresses my knuckles. “Do you like it? I did my best.”
