Page 88 of His Retribution
But I guess our babies will still be Slovakian since that's what I am. They’ll just be big, beautiful, and French as well.
Or they would be if we had the chance to make them.
I lift my eyes from the jukebox and smile when I see my love engaging in a very animated conversation with Andrej, but the second my gaze lands on him, he turns and shoots me a brilliant smile. A smile full of love and wildly inappropriate innuendo that instantly causes hives to creep up my neck.
He's been doing that all night.
Giving me seductive grins. Scandalous looks. Flirtatious winks while he sucks on his lower lip.
And lord help me if I'm within touching range.
Wandering hands. Indecent kisses. Erotic caresses of his fangs when no ones looking.
If Havok keeps this up I'm going to drag him into the bathroom and force him to mate me right against the sink.
But I get it.
He's practically beside himself over the fact that we're together, finally together after searching for each other for so long.
And we no longer need to hide our love.
There is no need for secrecy, no more planning when we can meet, how much time we'll have. There isn't any fear of getting caught. It's no longer taboo for me to be with him because he's a soldier, no more concern that someone will find out and report it back to my father or worse yet, Nero.
And despite knowing that he will come, I've made peace with the way my life may end because I'm back with Havok and I have faith he will do everything in his power to prevent that.
Not to mention I plan to mate him sooner than he thinks, fuck him silly the first opportunity we get, and when that happens even my death won't stop us from being together.
No, even something like that will never separate us again because he will always find me.
I watch my love’s brow furrow and realize he can sense that I'm lost in thought, again, so I give him a smile and blow him a kiss.
Then scowl so hard I'm pretty sure I pull all the muscles in my face.
Joyce blocks Havok from my view, her stupid blonde extensions pulled into a high ponytail that sways as she talks to him. I take a deep breath and remember my promise not to kill her tonight, let my vampire handle this on his own, but when he nods toward me and her stupid face follows before she breaks into laughter that could peel the goddamn paint off the walls, I damn near lose my shit.
"What about this one?" Grace asks from beside me. "You like this band right? Cora? Oh shit."
She instantly grabs my arm and starts whispering. "It's not worth it, sweetheart. Just let it go. Havok can handle her just like the rest of the boys. You are his mate, he only has eyes for you. Don't let her get to you, just let it go."
But it's far too late for that because now that harpy is touching my man—my fucking mate—and I need to put a stop to it.
"I'll be right back,” I grit as I tug my arm away from Grace and start marching toward Havok.
He's scowling, glaring, trying to put distance between them as he clearly tells her he isn't available and wouldn't entertain her even if he was. Hell, he's moved so far over on his stool that he's practically sitting in Andrej's lap but that bitch doesn't seem to be getting the hint.
Nope, Joyce just keeps advancing, keeps trying to box him in, touch him, seduce him, and I have to keep reminding myself that I promised not to kill her.
I will not commit murder.
I will not commit murder.
I will not commit murder.
"Oh, you can't be serious, Vok. That Gypsom thing looks more like a little boy than a woman, there's no way she's got what it takes to keep someone as virile as you satisfied."
Oh my gosh, she's an idiot!
I don't know if she's too dumb to know how to say Gypsy or is fucking it up on purpose, but either way it just makes her look even stupider.
