Beau nodded. "Let's go inside and I'll tell you what I can."
Faith led them inside, and ignored her fathers, leading Beau straight to the living room instead of the kitchen where he could hear Xander and Matt laughing. "I made popcorn already."
"Thanks." He kicked off his shoes before sitting down on the couch. "What are we watching?"
"It."
"You're addicted to that movie." He'd watched it with her several times.
"I know, but it's a great movie."
"I agree." He watched as she turned the movie on, then turned off the lights before sinking down on the couch beside him.
"So, what happened?"
"What do you know?"
"That you did a sting all by yourself."
He nodded. "I did."
"You could have been hurt."
"But I wasn't."
"But what if you were?"
He sighed. "I wasn't thinking about my safety. I was thinking about the kids he'd hurt. I was thinking about Lisa and Jeff."
Faith's eyes went wide. "Was this the guy who…" Her voice trailed off.
"One of them. He wasn't who they lived with, but he was one of several who hurt them." Part of him wanted to tell her about the videos they were forced to make, but she didn't need to know any more than she already did.
"Why didn't you wait for Xander, Kasey, or Dyson to get back?"
"The guy was leaving town. He had plane tickets to leave at nine the next morning. If I hadn't gone in, we wouldn't have got him. I couldn't let him move out of state and hurt more kids."
Faith nodded. "Dad said Bryon kicked you off the team."
"He did."
"So now what?" Faith asked.
"I'm not sure. I'll talk to Bryon and we'll see. We were both too mad to have a good conversation today. It was best I just left."
"You shouldn't have gone in alone," Faith told him. "What if you had gotten hurt?"
"But I didn't."
"No, but you could have. I hear more than you guys think. I know what goes on when Xander goes out. It's dangerous. I could have lost you."
Beau closed his eyes, pulling Faith into a hug. "I'm sorry."
"But you're still glad you did it?" She pulled back.
"I am. I won't lie. I'm glad I stopped him from leaving town. Glad he won't be able to rape another child."
"Did you tell Lisa?"
