Beau focused on her as Parson kept playfully attacking Jeff. "You feeling better today?"
She nodded. "I haven't gotten sick, but I'm still queasy."
She'd had a bout of late-term morning sickness. Beau did what he could, but there was really nothing he could do but listen to her doctor and give her crackers and soda to try and ease her nausea. "Well, I need coffee before we get busy opening gifts, so you can get something small to eat, see if that helps."
She nodded. "The baby kicked a lot last night."
"Active, huh? That's normal. Not comfortable, but normal." He reached his hand out to her and when she took it, he gave her's a squeeze. "Have you changed your mind about the ultrasound?"
She shook her head. "No, I want to wait to find out."
"Okay." He smiled, glad she'd finally decided to keep the child. She didn't want to know the sex until it was born, which was driving him nuts, but it was her choice. It just made shopping for her a hell of a lot harder. He'd managed, listening to his mother and Beth on what to get.
"You two bugs ready to get up so I can get some coffee?" Beau glanced back at Parson and Jeff who were playing some slap game with their hands.
"Presents!" Jeff jumped off the bed.
"Coffee!" Parson sat up.
"We'll meet you guys in the kitchen. No going into the living room until we are all there, okay?"
"Okay." Jeff ran out.
Lisa nodded as she followed him, her hands rubbing her rounded stomach.
Beau rolled over and smiled. "Merry Christmas."
Parson bent close and kissed him softly. "Merry Christmas."
"You ready to do this?" Beau swung his legs off the bed and stood.
"Yep, a whole day of putting things together, and from the boxes your mom brought over, I'm guessing setting up a nursery?" Parson pulled a t-shirt over his head.
"Yeah, more than likely. We'll see what Lisa wants to do. She still has her baby shower next month, so there's no rush. I'm sure she'll be getting a ton more things. I also promised Jeff we could drop by the Center and see Eric. Noam and Kasey are going to tell Eric today that he's going to go live with them. I'll let Jeff know after that." Beau pulled his own shirt on and put his slippers on. "Thanks for staying here with us for this. It means a lot to me and the kids."
"Nowhere I'd rather be. I would be home sleeping in late and spending the afternoon with my parents. You're much more fun."
"I'd hope so." Beau kissed him again before walking downstairs.
Once they had coffee in hand, they all headed into the living room.
The place was packed with presents. Beau admitted he'd gone overboard, wanting the kids' first Christmas with him to be special. The team had also bought a lot of things, not to mention his family, making it so that the entire living room floor looked packed with presents.
"You first." Jeff handed a present to Parson.
"Me?" Parson looked surprised.
"Yep." Lisa handed him a small box. "It's from all three of us." She gestured to Beau and Jeff.
"Well, thank you." He tore open the wrapping paper, then opened the small box. Parson pulled a single key out of the box. "What's this?"
Jeff smiled. "Beau, Lisa, and I want you to move in with us. We know you might say no, but even if you don't want to live here, we all agreed that you needed a key so you could come be with us any time you wanted."
Parson glanced over at Beau.
Beau smiled. "You know we want you here with us. You're family."
Parson smiled as he opened his arms to Jeff. "I need a hug."
