Story: Puppy on a Leash
“Woof!” I bobbed my head up and down so that he understood.
No idea what was going on yet, but no one would say I wasn’t helpful. Safe words were important in every headspace, anyway, even when I was starting to vibrate with anticipation because I hadn’t figured out what game we were supposed to be playing now.
Not knowing was annoying.
Scratch that.
Being manhandled by León was annoying. I squeaked, my heart threatening to beat out of my chest. What the fuck? One second, he was moving his hand behind my ear. The next, I’d been turned around, my back was against his chest, and he’d blocked my vision. With his other hand? Probably.
I tried to kick back or fight, but he had me in some kind of lock. He was good at those.
Danny had said León studied MMA for years after his brother had signed him up. I huffed. There were no voices now, no sound other than our breaths. And footsteps. Footsteps walking away?
Tony?
Since when did D-types leave you alone with fucking primal players who meant no good?
“Breathe,” León said in a hushed whisper. Or maybe it sounded hushed because I was way more aware of the sound of my heartbeat. “You’re going to like this.”
I growled. Like this, my ass.
Well, maybe I would, but I’d determine that when I wasn’t effectively blindfolded and locked in place.
I must’ve looked ridiculous, too, flailing around. How the fuck had he pulled that?
It was unfair.
“You really are a handful.”
Another growl was the only way I’d answer that.
León shifted his hold on me. Instead of keeping my arms behind my back, he moved so that his arm covered my torso. It pushed us closer together, but I didn’t care about that. I wasn’t going to focus on it, either.
“Just hold on one more second.”
Since when did León talk this much during a scene?
Well. I’d never really played with León properly. Maybe he was this talkative, and Danny just didn’t spill the beans. It wouldn’t be the first time.
Ugh.
One more huff, and León removed his hand from my eyes. I lunged the second I had my eyesight back but wasn’t fast enough to bite him.
Dammit. Was nothing going to go my way today?
It was my birthday, too. Maybe I should ask León for that as my birthday gift next year. I’d have to pay for it later, but it might be worth it.
“Pup.” Tony’s voice was more authoritative than usual.
It took my focus off my so-called betrayer of a friend.
Fuck, I was starting to sound like Sergio.
Whatever.
“Woof!” I wagged my tail before running back to him. He looked just as he had before León took over, so I had no idea why that had been at all necessary. Before I could figure out how to ask, Tony pointed to the end of the room where he’d beenthrowing my chew toy minutes before. A box lay there, by the last mattress. “Woof?”
Tony snorted. “Fetch, pup.”
