Story: F*ck It Out With A Devil
“First things first, I know my father gives the final okay for hiring, but I want the ones responsible for singling them out and having them work at our warehouses. It seems we have an investigation on our hands, and if someone is able to keep interfering with our operation like this, it has to be coming from the inside.”
“That would make sense, but we have to dig deeper than we are now. We have to find out who their families are and so on. It will be a lot of work, Wyck.” Karter announces.
“I know, that’s why we recruit new Devils every year. Someone has to do our dirty work for us. As long as we continue to keep them safe and covered, they are at our disposal.” I remind them. They are not only the future, but they are a part of our past, too.
“I’m so used to handling things on my own for us, that I forget we have the recruits to call on.” Onyx confesses.
“Karter, I want you to go to each of our warehouses and bring back the head of HR. Dash, be prepared to dig into each and every one of their family backgrounds, going back as far as the system will allow you, tell Davis we need him for this, it's good to have a cop in our back pocket.” They both nod their heads and take their leave.
“We’ll let you know what we find.” Karter yells before he walks out.
“Wells, I want you to do a sweep of both warehouses that were tampered with. I want anything you can find to indicate that Court wasn’t working alone, well besides with Fred and her sister.” A thought crosses my mind. “Has anyone checked on our little house guest lately?”
“I’ll do it.” Onyx offers. “Let me know what else you need me to do. In the meantime, I’ll keep my ears and eyes open to see and hear what I can find.” I nod my thanks as he leaves.
“I have something to tell you.” I whisper as Wells turns to look at me, waiting for me to continue. “I found her.”
“Who?”
“The woman we shared at the party.” I say as my mouth forms into a wicked smile.
“Where is she?”
“I’ll show you all once we find out more about who the hell is trying to sabotage what we have going on.” He moves so fast, I didn’t even see him coming.
“Wyck, I don’t normally come unhinged unless it’s for good reason. And this, brother, is the best reason I can think of.” He growls, grabbing me by my shirt.
“Calm down, Wells. She is not yours, she is mine. If I decide, she will be ours, but everyone has to be there when I tell her who we really are.” This seems to calm him down some, and he lets go of me.
“Forgive me.” That is his form of an apology, and I happily take it. Wells is a special one, and I would do anything to keep him safe.
“Always, brother. Now, in addition to you sweeping both warehouses, I need you to find out what my father has been up to. You know his staff loves you, and the butler's daughter is veryfondof you, if you catch my drift.” I wag my eyebrows at him, hoping he understands what I’m saying.
“I caught it.” He groans. “Consider it done, but if she doesn’t tell me anything useful, can I kill her?”
“Absolutely not.” His face deflates when I tell him, no. “She is innocent in all this, Wells. You know we don’t kill people that are innocent.”
“If she proves not to be so innocent, then can I kill her?” His face lights up at the thought, hoping he will find a reason to take her out.
“Only if it proves to be valuable andtrueinformation.” He accepts my answer with a deadly smile as if he knows something I don’t.
“Okay, I won’t have enough time to do anything before school, so I’ll get started after… Maybe.” He mumbles, leaving me alone in my thoughts once again.
I know my father is up to something. He’s been going out of town more often lately, leaving his bride-to-be home… Alone. Maybe my Devils and I will have to show her the attention she’s not getting from him.
I know how much she’ll like it. My Little Fox gave me a glimpse last night with the way her body responded to my touch. The thought has me eager, ready to make it a reality.
That’s the last thing on my mind as I lazily move around and get ready to leave.

Athens
AsIwalkacrossthe lawn, with my food tray in tow, I think back to the silly argument Bash and I had. It was rather ballsy of me to burst into his study while he was on an important call, and I should have known better. Luckily, he wasn’t too upset with me and cared for me after I fainted.
I’d love to know what was the cause of that, but my thoughts are thwarted as I place my tray on a table underneath a tree that overlooks the quad when I hear shouting. Quickly getting comfortable, I turn in the direction of the voices and pay attention.
There’s a bunch of guys gathered across the way that seem to be in an argument. Three of them are even wearing masks, that’s odd.
