Story: F*ck It Out With A Devil
“I already told you, you’re going to have to kill me, because I ain’t saying shit!” She yells. “Daddy will find you. You see this right here?” She asks, nudging her head to the side of her arm. “That’s a tracker, and my father will be here any moment to-” Her words trail off as she sees that her arm is wrapped up.
“This tracker?” I ask, opening my hand to reveal the broken device thatwasimplanted in her arm that Dash removed before she was taken away. “Yeah, we broke into the GPS and cloned the signal so, it looks like you’re still at your sister’s place.” I laugh again as tears begin to well in her eyes. “So, either you start talking or Wells here will not make your end a swift one.”
“Uh, if I may?” Fred pipes in. “I know I’m in no place to ask for or try and get out of here, but maybe I can help. I’m a phenomenal hacker, scientist, and software developer, maybe I could be worth more alive than dead.” She says, looking hopeful.
I want to give her a chance because what she was submerged into was fucked up. We don’t give second chances, and I’ll definitely have to talk this over with everyone else. Until then, I can think of something that will work in her favor.
“You can prove yourself worthy by eliminating her. She told you that she is your sister, and that your father gave you away, did you know you were adopted?”
“I knew, but never went looking. I’m not the type that needs closure. Well, I wanted closure with that bastard Court but since he is out of the picture, I’m good. Should I go looking for my parents?” She asks, and I have the answer, whether it’s the one she’s looking for, we will find out.
“Your father is an asshole, he works for my father, and they are both horrible human beings. They think they run this city, but their time is coming to an end. Everyone has a boss, us being the exception. We don’t work for anyone.” I bark. “If you go looking for him, you may end up dead. He’s the type of man that will sacrifice his own blood so that he can stay alive.” I say, looking between them both.
“Daddy loves me, he would never rest knowing my murder was at the hands of some low-life, wannabe thugs who claim to run this town.” She huffs. Good to see we are a major topic of conversation these days.
“It’s only a matter of time before we run more than just the town, sweetheart.” I hiss. “As I said before, Fred, if you prove to me, Wells, and Dash that you are more valuable alive than dead by killing her, that will put you one step away from death.”
“I believe a person must be guilty for them to die, what else has she been accused of?” She asks, and she sounds like a keeper. It’s not often you find someone that agrees that a person should die for crimes they are guilty of.
“Not only did they break into the warehouse and steal things from us, she knows what we are trying to do, she would have killed you once they brought back what they stole to her father, and Court would have just watched as life slipped away from you, the woman he claimed to love.”
“You would have killed me? Even though you knew I was your sister?” She asks as I walk over to her and release her from the chains. Wells is standing near while Dash guards the door in case she tries to make a run for it.
“We aren’t blood. Your mother was my father’s whore, and you were the product of their fucking on the side. He was supposed to kill you after you were born, but your mother died in childbirth, and he couldn’t bear to kill you himself. So, he gave you to Tobias, his enforcer, to get rid of. But once his wife got a hold of you, she wouldn’t let him do it.”
“How the fuck do you know all of that?” I ask, watching her closely.
“Daddy and I are very close. He tells me everything.” She beams with pride.
“Oh, so you’re fucking your own father. That’s great. Did Court know?” Her smile falters as she realizes I understand what she meant when she said they were close. If her facial expression didn’t tell me, her silence did.
“That’s just gross. Please, tell me you never fathered a child for him?” Fred asks, and once again, we are greeted with silence. “I think I’m gonna be sick.”“The baby didn’t make it.” She whispers. “You all have no idea what’s coming. You were right when you said everyone works for someone else. I don’t just work for my father, and my father doesn’t just work for yours.” She whines. “I won’t tell you anything more, kill me and be done with it.”
I look to Wells who watches me closely as I decide what to do. I walk to him as we discuss what needs to happen.
“She needs to die, let her and Court be the example we need to set, so others know we are not to be fucked over.” Wells says as Dash comes to join us
“I know.” I whisper.
“What about Fred? What do you think should happen with her.” Dash chimes in. We all look over to her as she sticks something in her sister’s mouth and tapes it shut.
“I never cared that I was adopted nor did I want to find my real parents because there was a reason they didn’t want me. I never thought my father could have ever wanted me dead, and to know that the man that raised me was supposed to kill me speaks volumes about him. As for you, you are a vile excuse of a woman and a daughter. How could you fuck your own father and make a baby with him? You don’t have to give me answers, but you will have to answer to God. I’m not sorry for what I must do, but I wouldn’t want them to have to do this because you’re a woman. Then again, you aren’t really. You’re a serpent.” She picks up a knife from the table and passes it across her sister’s throat as blood sprays all over her. “I’m glad I will never see you again, and I am not sorry it ended like this for you. I just wish it would have happened sooner.” She says, and I can’t help but think… A little Devil has been born.
Wells walks over to her and takes the knife from her hands, pushing her away from her sister’s dying body. I take her hand and bring her to a chair off in the corner.
“I did it. Did I do good?” She asks in shock. The first kill is different for everyone but always the hardest.
“You did amazing. The first time is always a shock. Are you okay?”
“I think so. Can someone bring me a trash can?” She says. Dash moves quickly enough he sits it down in front of her as she empties her guts.
“Better?” I ask once she picks her head back up.
“Much. I was serious, I’m glad I won’t ever see her again. This can’t be the only thing that will prove that I was sort of innocent with all that’s happened.” She attempts to crack a smile.
“We won’t lock you up, but you won’t be allowed to leave the premises. We have several rooms here, but yours will be one that you can’t escape. You will be monitored closely until we figure out what to do with you, but you must tell us everything you know.” I can’t stress that enough, because I should have already killed her, but my instinct was telling me not to, and they are never wrong.
“Okay. Is it true? Is Court really dead?” Her voice is nothing more than a whisper as she looks at me, waiting for confirmation.
