“Oh, Gaia, last night, was the best night of my life. Just like it was three years ago.” I wail, circling my arms around her waist.
“It’ll be alright, Athens. Do you wanna talk about it?”
“Not right now. Can we just hold each other and sleep?” I ask, but then remember. “Where the hell were you? I turned my head for one second, and then I was blindfolded, but that’s besides the point because I never saw you again… Until now.” I look up at her as her cheeks flame hot red.
“Well, you weren’t the only one that got lucky, sis.” She says, wagging her perfectly sculpted eyebrows at me. “No more talking, time for resting.” She says, snuggling under the covers as she takes me with her. “We can tell all our dirty secrets tomorrow.”
“Okay, I can live with that.” I am still very tired from everything that happened, but something keeps drifting back to my mind. How can I be in love with him and know nothing about him? This is not what Penelope Douglas meant when she said I get three firsts in life. I’m screwed, I think as my eyes drift closed, and I see his masked face.
Raindrops beat against my window as my eyes shoot open, but it isn’t because of the rain. No, someone is in my room.
“Who’s there?”
“Shhh, baby girl, it’s only Daddy.”
“Why are you here, Daddy? Is something the matter?” I ask in a quiet voice.
“Oh no, baby, nothing is wrong. I just wanted to lay with my baby girl since I didn’t get to see you much today.”

“You are such a big girl, and Daddy is so proud of you.”
“Thank you, Daddy.” I snuggle back into my covers. “I’m gonna listen to the rain and go back to sleep now.”
“Okay, baby, Daddy is just gonna lay beside you.” He says, laying down beside me. As my eyes begin to shut, I feel his hand on my thigh.
“Daddy?”
I’m startled awake by a loud bang of thunder, followed by lightning illuminating the sky and my room. I see that no one is there but G.
I shake the remnants of that dream from my head, because I have no idea what that was all about. “I must be going crazy.” I mutter.
“Huh? What was that?”
“Nothing, G, just a super weird dream is all. Go back to sleep.”
“Only if you come with me.” She smiles, pulling me back under the covers.
“Yeah, I think I do need more sleep.” We both chuckle and fall back to sleep.

It was only right I offered her a ride home since it looked as if she was trying to make a fast getaway. Although, I don’t know how she made it past Tiger. He would have eaten her alive, unless he fell under her spell, too. That cat loves Wyck, he follows him around whenever he’s in the area like he has fucking radar.
Did I know who she was? Of course. Did I know how beautiful she was without the mask? Absolutely not. I knew Wyck had staked a claim on her, but he’d also allowed us all to share what was his once before. I can only hope this time is no exception, because just that one taste from her was not nearly enough. I don’t know what it is about this particular girl, but I definitely intend to find out if the rest of her is just as delicious.
What shall I do with this little nugget I have stumbled upon? Because now, I know where she lives. So it seems as if I have the upper hand.
