Story: F*ck It Out With A Devil
“What do you mean, step-mother?” He growls. I don’t want to say that it turns me on, but I’d be lying.
Looking at him, up close and in person, lets me see the flecks of green around his irises. Eyes like that should be a damn sin on a guy like him. “It would seem that you need to tell me something, step-mother.” He whispers.
“What could I possibly have to tell you, step-son?” I growl back as he looks at my arm, grabs it, and pulls it to him. “What are you doing? Let me go!” I shout.
“This, what does this tattoo mean?” He asks, looking at me like he’s seen a ghost.
“Why should I tell you?” I grunt, trying to snatch my arm back.
“You’d better tell me if you don’t want a punishment coming your way.”
“A punishment?” I chuckle. “That’s laughable, coming from a boy that’s no doubt ten years younger than me.”
“I’m no boy. Haven’t been for a long time. Now, tell me what the fuck does it mean, you dirty, little girl.” He growls, pulling my arm to him, which puts my face so damn close to his that I can feel his breath fanning my face. I close my eyes for a second too long, because I feel his soft lips touch mine.
My eyes shoot open as my hand comes crashing down on his face.
“How dare you? How fucking dare you, Wyck.” I howl, rushing around my desk, finding the door and running out. I hear him calling behind me, but there is no way I can face him right now.
I race to my car faster than normally possible. Physics be damned, but I had to get out of there. Not only did his lips feel softer than I could possibly imagine, the name he just called me brings back some unforgettable memories. When another called me that during one of the most amazing nights of my life.
It seems all the red lights were in my favor, because they came far and few in between. As I pull into the driveway, I see Aunt Josie’s SUV parked out front.
I really want to make a clean break and just head to my room, but I’m so distraught that I need someone to talk to. Opening the front door and stepping inside, I listen for her voice while shutting the door behind me.
“Come on in here, girl, I’m just making some dinner.” I walk into the kitchen and take in the mess she has going on. “Don’t mind any of that, I’ll clean it all lat-” She says, stopping mid sentence when she turns around and sees my tear-soaked face. “What’s the matter?” She asks as I run into her arms.
“Aunt Josie, my life is a complete shit show, and I don’t know how to fix it.”
“You can start by dumping that no count ‘fiancé’ of yours.” She says, using air quotes when she says fiancé. I know her and Gaia don’t like him, but I happen to love him… I think.
“Aunt J, you can’t say that. Why do you think I need to dump him?”
“Because he’s not worth shit. He can’t take care of you. All that stuff in his house was not put there because of him. You do remember his wife, right?”
“Yes, of course I do. She was the sweetest.”
“Yeah, and it was her money that put him in that house, got him those nice cars, fancy staff, and all the other things. He is a leech and doesn’t have anything of his own. I wouldn’t be surprised if he had his wife killed so he could collect her insurance money.” She huffs.
“Aunt Josie, you can’t be serious. How would you even know any of that?”
“Don’t sleep on Auntie, baby, people are always talking in this town, and I hear it all.” She says, letting go of me. “Now, tell me what put those tears on that beautiful face of yours.”
“Aunt Josie, it’s the absolute worst.” I say.
“Yes, we’ve already established that, go on.” She waves her hands in the air.
“I don’t know where to begin. There is just so much going on.” I sigh.
“Start where you feel like it.”
“Well, I love Bash, but he hasn’t been my only lover.” She gasps, but I keep going. “I went to a party three years ago and slept with someone. I met up with him and a friend again… This year, at the same party.”
“Oh, do tell, darling.” She smirks at me knowingly
“I had an amazing time three years ago, but this time was even better. It made me question my love for Bash”
“Why?”
Looking at him, up close and in person, lets me see the flecks of green around his irises. Eyes like that should be a damn sin on a guy like him. “It would seem that you need to tell me something, step-mother.” He whispers.
