V: What do I have to do?
J: Meet me tomorrow at 7?
V: Where?
J: I’ll text you the address once I secure a rental. Be sure to bring workout clothes or something you can move around in comfortably.
V: What are you up to?
J: You’ll see. :)
V: Have you secured a date yet?
I ran a hand down my face. Something I did not want to do, but a deal was a deal.
J: Not yet, but I will.
V: You schedule a date with someone, and I will meet you tomorrow.
J: Consider it done.
After going through emails, I opened the dating site in my browser. I already had over twenty messages and forty-two who expressed interest. How the hell can I have that many matches? This site needed a better system, because my last date wasn’t much of a match.
I scanned the subject lines and picked out the first one that caught my attention:Love is what makes the ride worthwhile. ;)
Hi,
I very much enjoyed your profile. Your subtlety is refreshing, and I love that you’re a romantic at heart. It’s rare to find both qualities in a man. I see we share some common interests in music and movies. ;)
I also prefer getting to know someone the old-fashioned way, so please feel free to look at my profile, and if it sparks your interest, how about we set a date and get to know each other a little better in person?
Annette
I clicked on her username, hottotrot67, and checked out her profile pic. She was beautiful, blonde, blue-eyed, and had a charming smile. Almost too perfect and no unique feature that stood out to me.
Before I could scan her interests and read her bio, my phone rang. Isabella. “Don’t forget you have a conference call with Rajesh in five minutes.”
“Thank you.”
I hit reply to Annette’s email. I needed to secure a date today if I wanted to get going with Vivian’s coaching sessions.
Hi Annette,
I’d love to meet up if you’re still interested. How’s dinner at Sorellina Friday night? Say 8 p.m.?
Justin
As soon as I finished my conference call with Rajesh and the team, I checked to see if Annette had replied.
Hi Justin,
Sorellina sounds perfect. See you at 8.
I closed the site and picked up the phone. It was time to prepare for tomorrow.
