Justin,
Becky made a video of Leo and Penny dancing together, and Crystal was there to take pictures. I thought you might like to see them. He really looked great out there, so thanks again for helping. I gave Leo your email address since he wanted to thank you personally. I hope you don’t mind.
By the way, your mother’s wedding dress came out beautiful. I’m having someone deliver it to you today.
I’d bring it to you myself, but if I see you again, I don’t think I could hold it together.
I miss you so much.
I love you.
Take care,
Vivian

Thanks for forwarding these to me. I really wished we could have been there in person, but it’s the next best thing, I suppose.
I read the “after” feature, and I’m glad Leo was willing to reveal his identity and let you post their picture together. It really made the story. Becky did a great job on it, and Penny looked beautiful. Perfect dress for those Elizabeth Taylor eyes. Although I’m not surprised. She had the best personal stylist in town. :)
I’m sure my mother’s gown is perfect. Thank you for helping with that.
I miss you so damn much, Vivian. You have no idea how much.
I love you.
All the best
Justin

After meeting with my father, brother, and stepmother for an early dinner, I rushed to my mother’s apartment for an evening cocktail. What I really wanted was to have a little get-together with my closest friends and family before I left, but my mother and father would have killed each other and ruined the night. And if I had had a party and invited only one of them, it would’ve been all-out war. I didn’t have the energy to deal with any of it.
I missed my dancing partner.
I missed feeling his arms around me or hearing his laugh, his voice.
I missedhim.
But it wasn’t enough, not with his past. I couldn’t experiment with my stupid issues on him. Not when his heart was the one on the line.
Paris. It was a fresh start, and I needed that about now. It was the reason I decided to go in the first place, after all.
I let out a deep breath and knocked on my mother’s door. She didn’t answer for a good twenty seconds, and I knew it was a punishment for my lateness.
