Kofi Asare lost his life in a tragic accident in his home country of Ghana on September 22, 1968. Throughout his time on campus, he was an extremely loved and cherished student. He was working on completing a dream project of bringing innovation in the housing market to his beloved Ghana when he died.

Kofi is survived by his mother, father, and two younger sisters. His memory will be honored by his family privately in Accra.

A memorial for Kofi will be held on the Harvard campus next week.
