Page 89 of The Revenge You Seek
"I'm going to head to bed." I push from the chair and walk toward my room.
"Yeah, me too."
"Micah?" I ask before I push my door open.
"Yeah?"
"How'd you bug her room?"
He smiles. "I put hidden cameras in the best hiding places I could come up with."
"Did she ever find them?"
"Oh yeah. I've still got the scar to prove it."
I laugh because it's the normal thing to do when he points at a faint scar on his jawline but inside, every one of my muscles tenses because I fear that a cut and a lingering scar is going to be the least of my issues if I fuck this up.
"Night, Micah," I say, slipping into my room.
I rest back against the door, flip the lock and close my eyes. Sucking in a deep breath, I run through the events of the day quickly before a noise startles me.
My head flies up and I look around expecting him to emerge from the shadows.
But he's not here.
My heart thunders and then the sound hits my ears again, I realize that it came from the dorm upstairs.
"Calm the fuck down, Scarlett."
You've got this, you can play him at his own game and win.
I shake my arms out at my sides and suck in some confidence.
Just plant the cameras and get the hell out. The rest is up to fate.
If they don't talk about what they need to talk about then I guess I'll just have to deal with the outcome.
"Fucking hell."
Double checking that I locked the door, I march across my room, stripping out of my clothes as I go. By the time I step into my shower, I'm naked with my hair up in a messy bun.
I need to wash him from my body before I get into bed.
The cold blast of water does nothing to cool my burning skin.
Thinking back to our time in the library, I can almost feel his fingers digging into my hips, feeling him sliding in and out of me.
My clit throbs for the release it was denied and as I rub shower gel over my skin, I almost drop my fingers between my legs to fix the situation.
But then I have a better idea.
If I'm going to get myself into his house, then I need to up the ante.
Sure, I could ask someone in the know for the address. I'm sure Micah knows where Ellis lives. But I can hardly rock up and knock on the door. They'd smell a rat immediately.
There's no way I'd just turn up for a friendly visit.
If I want to get inside then I need him to take me. And I need him to think it's his idea.
