CRO Report

A shipment of medications bound for Safe-X facilities in California was lost to a pileup of automated trucks on the 5 freeway. CRO █?█?█?█ has been working with Nurse Flores to acquire replacements for essential needs, but shortages are to be expected.

CRO █?█?█?█ received four bids for the east wing renovation and expansion, all of them from local companies in Ellis. Given this competitive situation, he believes he can get the project completed at a reasonable cost, especially with added revenue from this month’s resident survey. The renovation work will begin in the next two to three weeks.

The contract with PostPal for communication services has been renewed for another two years. CRO █?█?█?█ is pleased to report that he managed to get a .2% rate increase on Safe-X’s share of call revenue.

The cybersecurity awareness training was due October 5, but so far only Attendants Hinton and Yee have completed it. CRO █?█?█?█ reminded attendants that this training is mandatory for all Safe-X employees.

Attendant Reports

Senior Attendant Hinton reported that the earthquake, flood, and wildfire safety check was completed on October 1. The designated safety marshals noted that some emergency supplies are running low, including nitrile gloves, face masks, and plastic sheeting. Attendant Hinton said he had a complete list and requested funding to purchase the items.

CRO █?█?█?█ said he would take each item under consideration, as the budget is tight.

Attendant Jackson reported that the work contracts are on schedule.

CRO █?█?█?█ asked how many shifts are vacant at the moment.

Attendant Jackson responded that there were seven.

CRO █?█?█?█ commended Attendant Jackson on improving her numbers over last month, but reminded everyone that the goal is zero. Attendants should be more proactive in encouraging residents to work overtime shifts.

Attendant Yee reported that the north-facing camera in the cafeteria is feeding shaky video to the main observation deck, and requests a replacement.

CRO █?█?█?█ asked what happened to it.

Attendant Yee responded that Residents Toya Jones and Sara Hussein were attempting to catch a flying cockroach. Resident Jones threw her shoe at it, hitting the camera.

CRO █?█?█?█ asked did she catch it at least.

[Laughter]

Attendant Yee said yes.

CRO █?█?█?█ said he would order the replacement and charge the cost to Resident Jones.

New Business

CRO █?█?█?█ reported that he came across a video that Junior Attendant Williams posted on Printastic, where he appeared to be making jokes about this facility. Attendants Ortega, Jackson, Yee, and Hinton could also be seen in the video. CRO █?█?█?█ demanded an explanation.

Junior Attendant Williams responded that the video was made on his own time at Ray’s Bar and Grill in Ellis and therefore doesn’t constitute a violation of company policy.

CRO █?█?█?█ asked Junior Attendant Williams whether he is an expert on company policy.

Junior Attendant Williams replied that the video doesn’t include explicit references to Madison.

CRO █?█?█?█ asked the attendants what terms they did use and why.

Attendant Ortega said he’s only ever called Madison what it is, a Short-Term Forensic Observation Facility.

Attendant Jackson said she calls it “the house of detention” because she is from Brooklyn and also because Madison used to be a public school.

Junior Attendant Williams said he calls it “the asylum” out of habit, because he used to work at a mental health facility before coming to Madison.

Attendant Yee said he doesn’t call it anything, and that he was only at the dinner because dress rehearsal for his play was cancelled.

Senior Attendant Hinton said he calls it “the hotel.”

CRO █?█?█?█ asked Senior Attendant Hinton why.

Senior Attendant Hinton replied that he likes to make every woman’s stay memorable.

[Laughter]

CRO █?█?█?█ said that he didn’t mind if the attendants let off some steam on Fridays, but he could not allow the taping or posting of videos that reflect negatively on this facility, even if it’s through nicknames, as it could be prejudicial to the company’s reputation.

CRO █?█?█?█ added that attendants might get sued in personam [click to add word to dictionary] for violating company privacy agreements.

Attendant Williams said he would take down the video.

CRO █?█?█?█ reminded everyone that he is hosting a barbecue in honor of his son’s return from overseas service this Saturday afternoon. All are invited.

Adjournment

There being no further business, CRO █?█?█?█ moved that the meeting be adjourned. The motion was seconded by Attendant Hinton and carried unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 10:06 a.m.
