My heart aches when I wonder if she was a virgin when I took her in the woods.

My wolf is silent, and I can feel his fury without words, but then he speaks, confirming it.

“How many?” I rasp. “How many men before me?”

Blair shrinks back, and my wolf tells me to calm the fuck down. She didn't even know I existed. This isn't her fault.

But blinding rage cripples me when she says, “Two.”

“And you?” Blair arches a brow at me in defiance.

“Calix, how many women?” Blair reaches out slowly to cup my cheek, her hand trembling slightly.

I revel in telling her, knowing it will break her, but wanting her to feel the anger and jealousy I do.

“Countless.”

Hurt flickers in her eyes as she drops her hand, my skin cold without her touch. My wolf snarls at my answer, and I curse myself under my breath.

There's no need to be a cunt just because she's fucked people before you,my wolf growls.

“I'm sorry,” I say, inhaling sharply. “I didn't mean to hurt you.”

“You did,” Blair replies softly, looking up at me. “You wanted to see my reaction. Did it satisfy you?”

I feel like I can't breathe. She's in pain because of me, and I hate myself.

“No,” I admit, pulling her into my arms. “No, it didn’t.”

“So you've fucked most of the women here, and I'm to live here with youand them. Great.”
